Which, again, as I posed to Cubanodun's grievance, how exactly do you go about stopping those people when they already have their followings of fellow hornyposters established?

I fail to see a way to affect any sort of meaningful change on this phenomenon outside of just letting it run its course. They'll probably poison the well for anyone wanting to come into the game with better intentions and motivations, but, hell, that's already pretty much become the case for any kind of online content creation at this stage.

Far as I can tell, those idiots tend to inject their political beliefs where they feel it's warranted as it is. Just a matter of waiting for the catalyst that makes their followings start tearing each other apart.

I also noticed the bugmen have been very quiet lately and aren't disliking vids nor spamming. Wonder if they're finally out of gas. Big props to Twitter accounts like SaveHololive for letting everyone know their plans beforehand too, it helps a lot.

Hey I'm all for it regardless as to why. I know Yagoo has got to be one busy motherfucker but with how absolutely beloved he is by all the fans worldwide, I think he'd be doing himself and us a disservice to stay behind the scenes so much. I think I can speak for everyone when I say we all wanna see more of him just being a goof.

Out of curiousity i decided to check Domo's twitter again and i just realize how fucking insane this guy's reach is, and everthing in his "looking back at 2020" thread is just...universal praise. The thing that ruined his image for me was how one time he replied under one of Ame's tweets (i think) about typical degenerate simp fetish desires, and i can't believe someone would behave that way, even in a joking manner

I know i asked this before, but how the heck are you supposed to avoid him as an indie if he's the No. 1 Indie Vtuber reply guy? If you ignore him, will he get all passive agressive n shit?

I said a while ago that I gotta rescind the skeletons in the closet thing after seeing how he acts a bit closer. The guy isn't greasy or conniving, he's actually a huge pussy and kowtows to rage-mobs (or, even just one angry person) very quickly. Does he have ulterior motives when it comes to assimilating clout? Yes, but he's doing so by kissing ass, not stabbing backs.

With how agreeable he is with people, the only way he's gonna get cancelled are if people in his circle have a falling out and create a schism, and he has to "choose" a side, and whoever he chooses, the people in the other camp will commit tribal warfare on him and embroil him in drama forever. It'll happen eventually too.

He's poison for the indie scene though, since, like you mentioned, once he corners you and wants you in his cabal, you can't say no, or you alienate yourself from a vast majority of your peers since they're already under his umbrella. It's honestly frightening, I'd dread being "noticed" by him if I were an indie chuuba.

That or they just grow the fuck up. Like I said, I'm not really a stranger to that kind of humor or am overly prudish; most I have is a Calliope "nut" button for whenever something warranting it in games happen. I also don't wanna badmouth the people I'm friendly with since they are, in essence, good people, but it's just that the uninhibited horny posting just makes me go "really?" when I don't really indulge in that kind of stuff at all; it seems the entire allure of vtubing has attracted people who want to act "uninhibited" so you get a lot of trans people and a lot of horny on mains. Maybe I'm just old or some shit, I dunno. I could maybe blame the community itself for encouraging this kind of behavior since the horny shit is what gets clipped and shared the most, but that just becomes a chicken and egg thing. Either the Vtuber community's general attitude encouraged a buncha coomers or a buncha coomers just happen to also be into vtubers.

Marine posted this video of translated sections of her streams where she tries to speak english. I wonder if this was somewhat prompted by this reddit discussion, but given that it is only a day old it most likely didn't. Maybe this might be the start of some Hololive members doing this on a weekly/monthly/scheduled basis.

edit: the video editor is kage_nui on twitter and also has a youtube channel. both with small followings and from what i've seen no previous translations. marine doesn't give any credit to any translators, so I assume that the translator is either kage_nui or staff.
tinfoil hat time: does this mean that hololive now has dedicated/semi-dedicated translation staff?

They're had one for a while doing the short form content like the Anime PVs on the main channel, and even had one do a decent length highlight reel on the main Holostars channel for their Among Us collab.

It wouldn't surprise me after HoloEN's massive success that they are looking to engage more with the English speaking audience, and hired more or increased the workload of those translators.

i believe it start getting normal for japanese at this point just to use Live2D model as an excuse to not showing face, or even just png of character if they poor enough. esp for ono as a seiyuu itself. it might not that expensive for him getting one model. heck even mamatsuri got her own live2d just for appearing in matsuri channel. unless its part of yagoo plan to make HoloMilf to come true what surprising, sugita still doesnt have any since he been into rabbit hole for long.

the fact the shitposting one that used to be post on main channel usually get translate in a day, its not surprised if they start to hire more translator

i mean look at people always ask for "ara ara" voice in every new comer or even in general. i know its not that horny, but for example it show the community want to get all the fanservice spoon over their mouth. then many vtuber start keeping fanservice people and they get spoiled. look when fanservice become regular its nothing feel special. just like some of you said, when you rather get content like "korone social issue" than typical coomer fanservice, it say a lot how saturated the content nowday is.

but it seems the clipper now start digging the old vid and translate it idk why? either they realised other clipper have done it probably, or they also tired clipping horny moment.

Yeah i remember that video and always wondered if Polka was not based in that design or maybe is the private live2d of yagoo and he is streaming somewhere
