Yeah it did but I think the reason she said that is mostly because it showed kinda sensitive info that could have been a lot worse. I think she said it while she was hiding her screen too so that's why I interpreted it this way

Judging from what I've seen so far here, that doesn't seem too likely to happen for most of us. I mean, there was one time that some Vtuber did audio erotica, of getting fucked, and people thought it was real and some NTR crap, mainly english speaking communities. If someone like a Hololiver did that and it was actually her getting fucked, and got the OK from Cover, I'd probably just laugh my ass off and wait to see the real salt that would occur from it. Even if it was just her visiting her BF or some shit.

And I don't think many here would be too far off and get super offended that someone in Hololive isn't forever alone like many simps and incels.

A little bit of the mindset is good and sorely lacking among the western vtubers. I feel as though I am a guest in the world of vtubers and that things should to be based on Japanese standards, at least for the most part. I think the lack of that is what leads to the idiots whining about loli characters meanwhile you have some of the biggest vtubers talk about loving loli, hell even Winning Son Roberu said he likes Onee/Shota cause someone asked if he like Iida Pochi's manga.

It's a term we've been using in this thread to refer to the human who performs a vtuber character. I'm not sure if it's used in the broader English community too.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but thanks for sharing those. Doog's Doom streams, both '16 and the OG games, are what got me into vtubers beyond just an interest in the technical stuff, as it showed me some of these people can have actual fun personalities as well as be talented at games instead of just being vapidly cute and/or horny. Just like I said earlier, Korone is a gamer's gamer and some of those videos were the kick in the pants from behind back when I was still merely gazing down the rabbit hole with mild curiosity.

Mori has been playing Crash Bandicoot 4 for the last few hours, and I've been popping in and out. The meme is that Amelia is a salty gamer, but Reaper's the freakin' Dead Sea over here. It doesn't help that she had to hammer out video issues at the beginning of her stream, her game audio is lagging by about half a second for some reason even on her end, and the phone she was using for her camera had its battery die even though she thought she had it plugged in. The EN crew is truly cursed when ti comes to the technical stuff.

For the most part the English community doesn't make any difference to distinguish themselves from their avatar. There's one I see a lot cause [user liked this post from] that's performing concerts as herself as well as as an avatar.

It was amusing when she kept saying "I deserved that" whenever she messed up and took a bunch of damage in Blasphemous, which was very on theme for Hyper-Catholicism: The Game. She also kept on saying that she is very bad at video games, but I'm not convinced that's actually true; she kept making progress and was more held back by her constantly forgetting about her full range of abilities leading to turning fights into slugfests instead of playing smart. And we know she loves her some Souls, which aren't the paragon of difficulty that the memes make them out to be but which are very much of the "you must be this tall to ride, either make the cut or go home" mentality.

I dont think anyone would be discussing about vtuber on kiwi farms of all places if they were knee deep in parasoc relationship. They'd be on their chat throwing red superberries everyday.

I mean, while not exactly common, polygamy is legal in Indonesia. It's just that the husband must treat every wife equally, so no mistress - everyone is a wife. Maybe that mindset somehow make Iofi ask Moona what she get if she let Moona marry Pekora? Moona said Iofi can play with Pekora in her "playroom" if PekoMoon tie the knot, but Iofi reply that Peko-Iofi would be sisters with each other if they share a husband. Maybe she was looking at it with irl cultural perspective instead of usual waifu culture? Interesting narrative, if a bit much on speculation side.

Far as I know of the situation, the guy solicited nudes from an underage fan(s?) using his Youtuber fame and bragged about it to a friend, who has went public with the DMs/chatlogs. Supposedly it wasn’t just 17 - 18 year gap,either, heard the age was as low as 12. Apparently he knew what he was doing and claimed he knew it was wrong, but kept doing it multiple times to multiple girls (?)

Fuckin idiot. Glad Gura ignored him completely.
