So Mom want me to constantly mask up, pay attention to Covid at all times, and get the vaccine because she thinks I'm one of the people with underlying health problems, so I'm more likely to get it and have a higher risk. Except she said my 'underlying health problem' was... my deafness. I had surgery a couple years back to get a hearing aid, like when I was a kid, not recently.
I'm baffled. I don't know how to respond. It's not my lungs weren't even somehow affected by being deaf.

I'm almost certain China simply stopped counting anything after they put up a show about draconian lockdowns. They knew any covid deaths would be a drop in the bucket for them since they have full control over the narrative. Meanwhile they laugh as western countries try and fail to implement lockdowns like they did destroying themselves socially and economically in the process while people suck their dicks for totally caring about their people and how their totalitarian system works. If it wasn't for the little bit about this all coming out of China in the first place this would be a complete propaganda coup for the CCP.

Those massive corporations right now are counting on the government to bail them out and sqaush the smaller competition with lockdowns and regulations. Its like an animal with a symbiotic relationship. Without the government to regulate things in there favor most of these huge monoplies would collapse. Thats why they want this crisis to keep going on because it is doing an amazing job of getting rid of whatever competition is in the way

Speaking of the economy what jobs should I consider in this kind of enviroment? It seems pointless for a young lad like me to go to college like originally planned because they charge you for stuff you cant even use anymore.

With all the talk about the likelihood of false positives it crossed my mind to just keep getting tests until I pop up positive so I can take advantage of the extra two weeks paid leave.

Dealing with people freaking out about it day in and day out at work is really wearing on me.

so I just suck it up. If I see someone without a mask, I leave them alone. It's not my place to play mask police, and try to enforce the face diaper rules upon them. This shit's really getting out of control. It's all so tiresome

Even some of the COVID doomers I know have admitted that verbal or physical altercations between those in and out of masks are dumb and wrong. I'm not sure who it was that said it here, but they made the point that people who are deathly fearful of COVID probably shouldn't initiate an in your face confrontation with someone who isn't wearing a mask. There's a right way to deal with people not wearing masks someplace where it's required; that's not it.

II feel like the social isolation is driving me insane.

I think family members being pent up for extended periods of time without a chance for time out or away from each other is driving all kinds of people buggy and causing family relationship issues. More importantly, it's hard to talk to friends because asking something as ordinary as, "What have you been up to?" is pointless because nobody is able to do much of anything apart from working or staying home.

Far as questioning my life goes I couldn't have cared less about this job before but I just bought a house and want to keep it, so while I want to wait on the vaccine personally I still feel like I'm going to have to get it if they do this.

I'm concerned this could be a requirement for a new job I start later this month or as a condition to be able to resume my paying side-hobby. As much as I want to wait to see what negative long-term effects might exist, I may have to get it before then if it's required for any of my money-making activities.
