Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

I made a post about this and wondered if @FROG could help Ritter out on this.
Ritter would do better to seek help from creators who have successfully printed and fulfilled comics on time and regularly.

I believe TenNaple and Lim use the same print service which is more expensive but also more dependable and high quality than the services used by Frog, Malin or most of the creators who still call themselves CG.

If Ritter's goal is to do this again he should probably follow the lead of people who've done it consistently and done it well.

This time for Power Rangers and it is sitting at around 220k after one day.
200+ in a day is impressive. Especially for a property that competed against Barney the Dinosaur at its peak popularity.

I've always thought Power Rangers was seriously homosexual trash designed to entertain pre-schoolers with bright colors and simplistic stories a retarded chimpanzee could follow.

I could be wrong but an endorsement from Yellow Flash won't convince me.

The original Mighty Morphin series was great and the SNES game was an all time favorite at the time.

t. Homosexual, retarded chimpanzee who enjoys bright colors. If I was able to throw $800 on that Megazord standee tier, I probably would.

Nice find! If I remember correctly this is the same series that Yellowflash previously praised. The book is trending to make $712,549 on backerkit, although these projections are always too generous.

Megazord Editions: these Deluxe format hardcovers feature the previously mentioned new cover artwork, the previously mentioned exclusive slipcase, AND an acetate sleeve featuring an energized Morpher on the front and new artwork of a portion of the Megazord on the back that fits into the Megazord standee.

The campaign has already unlocked three stretch goals which offer the following rewards: cold foil added to the front and backs of the hardcover volumes, unsigned prints and spot UV added to the slipcase of all Morphin and Megazord editions.

Overall a pretty impressive, ambitious and extremely expensive campaign.

These books are indeed fantastic. I have the deluxe for Vols 1-3 and they destroy anything Marvel/DC has to offer in recent years. However the price tag on these versions is ridiculous. Good for them for making money but it's content already in deluxe format for 4 of the 6 volumes and $600 for the set, that's nuts!

Goes to show the power of brand, though.

Quite a few people actually...... don't cut corners
It is weird though, because I have gotten CG books through media mail same as @VIkkiVerse. I guess some postoffices are just more anal about it or they just look at the cover and call it there.

Same, if it wasn't $800, I would seriously consider getting it too. Just looking at it is filling me with strong nostalgia vibes

I understand. Power Rangers was very popular to a specific age group in the early 90's. Nostalgia is powerful. That doesn't make it good though.

I wasn't in that age group.

There was plenty of bad TV I loved as a child that I still look back on fondly but I have no illusions that it was actually good. Very little of what I loved as a child holds up when rewatched. I could be wrong about Power Rangers in this regard but I don't see it. There were other shows like the 90's Spider-Man or X-Men animated that were decent. I never saw that in the Power Rangers which was geared toward an even younger demo and had shoddy visual effects, acting and story telling even for it's time.

This was not impressing young adults or adults in the 90's.

It seems that the USPS isn't consistent where comics in media mail are concerned. If creators choose to go that route it would be prudent for them to anticipate obstacles to be dealt with.

The fact that you got your books would indicate those obstacles can be dealt with though.

a threshold that appears to place it at the the bottom of "big-name" projects but above all the "small-name" projects (the champion of whom is Peregrine: Wings of the Falcon).
you have to consider the genre, its not superheros so it will sell alot less in the colonies.

It works if you don't get caught.

Apparently, the USPS does look at these things from time to time.

I'll add my "me also" to the list of people who would buy the Megazord edition if it were cheaper.

I watched Power Rangers with my kids and it didn't annoy me as much as I had expected it to. It is a kids action show and if you take it as such it works fine. I thought it was going to be like Voltron where every episode has them combine to form the Megazord and the fight ends when the sword comes out and slices the enemy. Instead there were episodes where they ended the battle without even getting into their zords or they defeated the enemy without forming the Megazord. It wasn't great entertainment for an adult but I had to endure much worse as my kids grew up. The comics are much better than the show

Speaking of Liam Gray he has recently ceased streaming on his main Conquest Comics youtube channel and began streaming on a backup channel Unintelligent Designs. Rumor has it Liam was the recipient of a copyright strike on his main channel, which if true would be quite ironic given his own history of flagging.

I can confirm that Liam was indeed struck by TMSanime and Toho Co. Ltd after a monster seven-hour stream in which he gave an extensive masterclass on the history of anime opening title sequences, and seemingly played almost every one of them ever made.

I'm not sure if any of this stream will surface on Bitchute, can't see it there right now. I a-logged some other highlights of this lost stream, if anybody has a Liam craving they need to satisfy:

Liam Struckstream, Dec 25th
LIAM ON WOMEN
Liam continued to spergle down on his argument from the Tim Lim video, that neither men nor women want to be saved by women. He attempts to get Manga-Chan to support his thesis, but she fights back with the basic common sense counterargument that she doesn't care about the hypothetical lifesaver's gender, so much as the hypothetical lifesaver's lifesaving abilities. She wants the best lifesaver. 'Which is a man!' Liam counters. But Manga-Chan will not kowtow to his spergery.

Then the third intellectual in this lively debate, single-digit IQ-having Berserk Guts, pontificates that being saved by a hot woman would actually be pretty awesome. Liam continues to sperg in earnest, doubling then quadrupling and octupling down, ultimately concluding that he is right, despite everybody thinking he is wrong.

LIAM ON DISNEY
Liam believes Disney are planning to completely remake the original Star Wars trilogy in photorealistic CGI, with small things changed and added here and there. But he did not elaborate on why Disney would do this or what the changes would be.

LIAM ON VINEGAR
Liam coughed and could taste the vinegar from the large vessel of vinegar that he attempted and failed to down the other day after cleaning his garage. That was two days prior to this Dec 25th stream. It's not clear whether Liam threw up the vinegar, but he certainly retched on stream while attempting to gulp it down.

LIAM ON MURDERED DUCKLINGS INCIDENT
Liam confirmed the veracity of the Orange Dragon Drop posted here. I've put together a reconstructed narrative of the incident as follows, according to Liam's two accounts:

It is near Christmas. A car of miscreants are planning to run over some ducklings. Liam bravely attempts to save the ducklings but gets hit by the car himself, and falls on the ducklings, squashing them and either killing them, or wounding to them to the extent that their lives are no longer viable.

It is not clear whether Liam put the mortally wounded ducklings to death after he mortally wounded them by falling on them and squashing them. But I would assume so. I would assume he crushed each of them to death, one by one, in his fat fist, while crying insanely.

LIAM ON PEDO ALLEGATIONS
To my knowledge, Liam did not comment on the other Orange Dragon Drop about him being accused of pedophilia at the shopping mall, after attempting to approach children he doesn't know in order to give them free videogames he bought for them.

However if we can assume this is also true, then both Oz and Liam have been shunned from Australian society for suspected pedophilia. Oz for filming kids he doesn't know at some park, Liam for unsolicited gift-giving to kids he doesn't know at some mall.

Well KARMA is a bitch.

He still hasn't lifted the strike on THE TRASH COMPACTOR channel like he said, but I have to thank him for K-Log picking our show up and getting us monetized!

Liam do you want to lift that strike now? oops

TBF, the Japanese are retarded when it comes to IP enforcement on YouTube. I had issues with this in the past. All within the bounds of fair use.

But here, it couldn't have affected a nicer person. Eat shit Liam.

Legit could not stop laughing for about five minutes. The man is like a real life cartoon character. Like a combination of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Mr Bean.

The combination of pro-wrestling physics and Charlie Kelly logic at play here is just astounding. Stuff like this is why Liam is such a high quality cow. He's delusional enough to think his stories sound realistic, but also narcissistic enough to think they make him look good. I guarantee he would cite both of these anecdotes as examples of him being a good person wronged by a cruel world. Liam, never stop Liaming.

Power Rangers from 1993-2009 is one of the greatest episodic tv shows of all time, but after Nick bought the show ifmt went downhill with some gems like Dino Charge and Beast Morphers.

Not sure if it was on that stream or the one before, but somebody asked Liam how he gets away with streaming so much copyrighted content, and in classic Liam fashion he replied by smiling bashfully and cryptically intimating that he can bypass the rules because he 'knows people'.

That added a lot of funniness to the subsequent strike for me. Liam's "I have copyright superpowers" remark was like the setup for reality's "No you don't" punchline.

Oh, if only Youtube was a Kiwi! Just imagine some of the shit he sends Youtube.

He did indeed try and turn it round on the Orange Dragon Droppers, saying 'Oh yes, it's so funny isn't it, I'm a sad lonely man with a sad life' like trying to shame them for breaking those stories. The trouble is, the stories are actually incredibly funny. And him trying to turn it round like that makes it even more funny.

Liam likes to do this thing where he relies on vagueness and implication in hopes that people will fill in the blanks with tales of his epic achievements. It's a textbook autism move.

Case in point: his pseudonym

I would post the tweets but LYAM has my account blocked ... but look at these beautiful images from today of the ORANGE KOALA!
