Y'know, I don't know much about Carson but it sort of seems like we have yet another YouTuber shooting themselves in the foot by engaging in this stuff. It's gotten to the point that it really does have to be a 'power dynamic' thing, since with the sheer amount of bigger content creators engaging in sexual chats/sexting with underage fans I'd have a hard time explaining it otherwise. Can't for the life of me understand why they would try this as a known figure though, like I understand that's a part of how they will usually meet with said fans but shit, it's like commiting a crime and announcing it on Facebook.

Some people are complaining over their age gap while in reality even if he were 18 and she were 17 the same crime would still be happening. Teenagers exchanging photos is nothing new but since he has a fanbase his actions are most likely gonna have consequences. He's gonna full on leave or pull a Cosmodore and stay.

If it isn't illegal (except for a few instances) steam will allow any game on their store, while being marked for adults only appropriately.

After watching Schlatt's video, Carson doesn't seem to be able to not destroy himself, so it seems like it's honestly for the best that it ended like this. His streams have increasingly felt like he was coasting on his past and his most recent "videos" have just been edited down stream VODs. Personally, a cutoff like this is better than ending up like Spoony, just lazing about in his own self-inflicted failure for decades. I'd feel bad for his friends but the longer I think about it, the more I realize most of them haven't interacted with him in a long time.

A lot of people are saying “teenagers send nudes to each other all the time, it’s not such a big deal,” and I’m trying to rebut that by explaining that no, I don’t think it’s okay for minors to do that. I definitely don’t think it’s okay for adults to knowingly solicit them. I don’t see how people could be okay with that unless they want to lower the age of consent, which I’m not a fan of doing either.

Yes I’m actually discussing moral ramifications only, but saying that the morality of what he did is defined by the fact that it’s someone below 18.

Okay I’ll actually just simplify my thoughts to this: below 18 = minor. If you’re in any way assisting/contributing to a minor taking nudes then you’re a degenerate. 18 is the dividing line because it’s what we came up with and there needs to be a line somewhere.

I don't know anything about Carson. I watched some compilations a long time ago, remember enjoying them but that's it.

Tbh I see him going silent for a while and then coming back quietly but never "blowing up" or seeing meme status again. Shrieking twitter trannies can control public perception but at the end of the day any normal human being is most likely gonna stay subscribed and keep watching funny highlights/streams or whatever tf he does. As long as his channel doesn't get yeeted over this he's good. Might take a hit on subscribers but he'll keep going.
