So a user on Tik Tok is triggering people because they said that "Asian women in America aren't cool or nice" and that Americans should "go to Asia" to find women. I'm guessing they're going by the stereotype that many Asians, particularly those from East/Southeast Asia will drop everything for a Western Man?

I've heard of this same sentiment, usually from incels and other similar types. Culturally, "Asian Americans" are just Americans with Asian heritage. Technically they're no more "Asian" then your average American is "British" or "African", so they're obviously going to be different and far more American in their cultural/attitudes/beliefs then people actually from Asia. Plus, from what I've heard, contrary to stereotypes, Asians can be very assertive/domineering, especially once they get that ring.

I'll cut him some slack because Japanese people in general don't know how to handle Western harassment like that. This stupid controversy is probably the largest interaction he's ever had with non-Japanese people, and the "standard" attitude they take when being confronted is to back down and be polite.

And it does not remotely mean that they subsequently adopt the nonsense they were harassed with. If anything, they will cultivate a strong resentment against such behavior in the future as they contemplate the sheer wrongness of the stupid gaijin.

A riot is a riot. BLM protesters were in the wrong in the middle of the year just as Trump fanatics were in the wrong yesterday. The only reason one of them got bad rep while the other was hailed as, per Vox, harbinger of "social reform" is because journalists are made of shit.
