An unprecedented number of mail-in ballots because of COVID, an incumbent who gained around a fifth of previous vote share and lost, something that has never happened before, a senile old man who ran the weakest campaign in history and somehow got the most votes in the history of the country who underperformed both Hilary and Obama in every major metro area except Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Atlanta and Detroit, which all happen to be in swing states.
Yeah an election that was as normal as any other in America's history you fucking retard.
You have to genuinely be so unhinged and stupid to unironically believe any of this. I can't wrap my head around the fact that people like you exist.

They were going to putbhim in prison even if he did not cross the Rubicon. Should have just done it.
Caesar only crossed the Rubicon when the Senate decided to recall him for prosecution. It takes actual danger to force something like that. The situation isn't even close. Now if this were a rally aimed against Congress trying to charge him with treason and calling him to DC for some reason (beyond impeachment, I mean) then it would be analogous.

Come to think of it that could still happen if Trump panics once he's realized how fucked he is.

I could go for some Balkanization tbh.
There comes a point in every toxic marriage when eventually both parties agree to separate. Make it happen.

Are you legitimately retarded? What did I say that was wrong, did COVID not exist? Did Trump not gain a fifth of his vote share when the incumbents who lose are ones who lose about a fifth of their vote share? Was Biden a really exciting candidate people rallied behind? Did he only overperform in cities in the four swing states he need to win? These are all facts, it's not conspiracy bullshit you can look it up retard.

And what is this going to accomplish, exactly? The Boston Teaparty was a direct response by dumping tea because of taxes. It is an easily understood protest. Taxes on Tea, we don't like, dump tea.
It wasn't nearly that simple. The whole of the Townshed Acts is what was the root cause. That particular shipment of tea is just the straw that broke the camel's back.

Longer post on the shit that went down follows....

It wasn't actually just taxes on tea, it was also inverse on tea, and included several other goods (tea, lead, glass, paint, and fucking paper). They were prevented from taxing the goods themselves, and could not import from other sources or manufacture their own. The tax itself was an indirect tax (the merchants paid it in England, which increased the price at the colonies when they eventually made their way down there).

Another part of those acts also flat out prevented New York from passing any of its own bills unless it stopped refusing to pay for and provide housing to British troops (New York ended up relenting, and was fucking pissed about it).

The Revenue Act (the one related to tea et. al) ALSO gave customs officials the power of general warrants that allowed them to search whatever the fuck they wanted whenever the fuck they wanted to find smuggled goods (and they abused the shit out of it). Hence the 4th amendment.

Another part, the Indemnity Act, actually reduced the tax on specifically tea in an attempt to make it cheaper than smuggled teas and incentivize the colonies to just accept the goods (as well as to prop up the British East India Company). That pissed off the colonies even more, because it put the smugglers out of business and they REALLY didn't like the indirect tax on goods, even if it was reduced (for tea). Hence why "high taxes on tea" is actually an inaccuracy.

Another one of the acts (Commissioners of Customs) basically imported British officials to enforce collection of other taxes and to directly combat smuggling. The colonies themselves prior to this one were just not enforcing shit, since locals were more or less like "lol fuck off with that bullshit".

The last one was the Vice Admiralty Court Act, which gave the British Navy full jurisdiction over all smugglers prosecutions and trials, gave full trial power to the judges alone (no jury, no defense, just prosecutor and judge), the Crown appointed the judges instead of allowing the colonies any say in them, and incentivized the judges to find absolutely everyone guilty by paying them an additional 5% of all fines they levied. And they abused the absolute shit of that power. Hence the 5th and 6th amendments.

All of that was done with no say or input from the colonies themselves. They weren't even allowed a say in appointing the new officials created by the acts.

That set the stage for the actual tea party.

The actual stage was that the Sons of Liberty (S.o.L.) were able to (summarized) use intimidation to refuse acceptance of the tea in every colony except Massachusetts (Boston). Basically a "fuck you, we won't even let your tea come off the boats" show of force. They absolutely did not want that tea cargo to even so much as touch American soil. And their antics worked, everywhere except Boston. Which pissed 'em off even more.

The (British) Governor of MA convinced the merchants (technically "consignees") to stand their ground and not back down to the intimidation of the S.o.L.. The Governor also refused to grant the ships holding the tea permission to leave.

That's important because, due to another British law, customs officials would seize the cargo if the ship did not pay its duties within 20-something days (and the ship couldn't pay it until it was unloaded and sold). Customs officials seizing the cargo meant it would be unloaded onto American soil and the S.o.L. couldn't interfere with customs officials doing so since they would basically get themselves shot. They did not, at that point, want to fuck around with customs officials and their guards and find out.

So on the very last night before the time limit ran out, they (S.o.L.) said "you know what, fuck this" and snuck on the ships (2 more ships had arrived by this point) and dumped the tea. Swinging their collective dick right back at the Governor with a very loud "We fucking told you this tea wouldn't touch American soil".

The part you don't ever really hear about is that a different ship ran aground a week or so later and actually offloaded (and managed to sell) some of its tea, and the S.o.L. actually tracked all that shit down (including the crates that had been sold and warehoused) and dumped it into the harbor too.

And there's a truly spergy history lesson for you.

I seriously doubt it, given he has two weeks left. If the retards in Congress try to do more than just isolate him and keep him from doing retarded things before throwing him out on the 20th, they'll turn him into a martyr.

There's a reason we remember the Christians burned at the stake and not the ones that were quietly kept out of power until they died unceremoniously.
