I think this entire thing was stupid but I am happy that politicians might realize they aren't immortal aristocrats that can just shit on people with no consequence
Oh they got the fright of their lives and they're going to do everything that they can to try to prove to us and themselves that they are immortal, and everytime they push, things will only get worse for them.

Are you legitimately retarded? What did I say that was wrong, did COVID not exist? Did Trump not gain a fifth of his vote share when the incumbents who lose are ones who lose about a fifth of their vote share? Was Biden a really exciting candidate people rallied behind? Did he only overperform in cities in the four swing states he need to win? These are all facts, it's not conspiracy bullshit you can look it up retard.
lol don't look at his california margins compared to hitlery

I don't argue with room temperature IQ people so let me just reiterate that you are a very, very dumb person and should feel ashamed on account of being so retarded.

Iraq Issues an Arrest Warrant for President Trump

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Baghdad (AP) -- An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for outgoing President Donald Trump in connection with the killing of an Iranian general and a powerful Iraqi militia leader last year, Iraq's judiciary said.

The warrant was issued by a judge in Baghdad's investigative court tasked with probing the Washington-directed drone strike that killed Gen. Qassim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the court's media office said. They were killed outside the capital’s airport last January.

Al-Muhandis was the deputy leader of the state-sanctioned Popular Mobilization Forces, an umbrella group composed of an array of militias, including Iran-backed groups, formed to fight the Islamic State group.

Soleimani headed the expeditionary Quds force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The arrest warrant was for a charge of premeditated murder, which carries the death penalty on conviction. It is unlikely to be carried out but symbolic in the waning days of Trump's presidency.

The decision to issue the warrant "was made after the judge recorded the statements of the claimants from the family of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis,” according to a statement from the Supreme Judicial Council. The investigation into the killings is ongoing, the court said.

The killings sparked a diplomatic crisis and strained U.S.-Iraq ties, drawing the ire of Shiite political lawmakers who passed a non-binding resolution to pressure the government to oust foreign troops from the country.

Iran-backed groups have since stepped up attacks against the American presence in Iraq, leading to threats by Washington to shutter its Baghdad diplomatic mission.

So, I guess there's to be no Trump Hotel Resort Baghdad built any time in the near future.

I’d argue it was already crossed by the Dems shortly after Trump got in office.

They were going to putbhim in prison even if he did not cross the Rubicon. Should have just done it.

It's his greatest flaw. He thought there was a deal to be made with opponents who want him dead and for sure he's cucked hard. The only thing that would stop him from going to prison was his massive supporter base, and he's just abandoned them. Pence is now outright calling Trump supporters seditious traitors, as is most of the GOPe. It's over for the Republican Party. If Trump has done nothing else he's destroyed the GOP as the alternative party of government. Assuming we don't descend into civil war and we'll continue to pretend elections matter something else will replace them.

It irritates me the most that Trump was happy to rile up his most ardent fanboys to go storm the Capitol to save democracy, while he ran home to watch it safely on TV like a giant pussy.

Especially because he could legally go onto the Senate floor to make the big theatrical gesture or speech.

He can only redeem himself by sticking to his guns and be drug from the WH kicking, screaming and farting.
This is his modus operandi for how he treats his supporters. He’s never backed them up once despite them attacked by leftist protestors, rioters, antifa, etc. He’s never supported them once. At best, he will “monitor the situation” but nothing more than that.

Trump has been bitchmade so many times it’s a wonder people even pay attention to him at all. Although with Pence taking over, Trump is going to be completely powerless these final days (not much of a difference). He picked the dumbest, most cowardly way to handle this. His presidency as it were ended yesterday.

This whole happening makes me think to the lyrics of the Blind Guardian song 'Wait for an Answer.'

'The hopeful he sadly admits there's no hero
No place to hide there is no shelter from the storm
The maddened crow will spread terror
But I know bitterly they will stumble
Find themselves smashed on the ground'

I mean, you're right.

On balance, however, I suspect he couldn't actually ever do much. It seems to me that nearly 100% of the power of the Presidency is derived from having a willing bureaucrat class, which Trump never had.

For me it's:

An unprecedented number of mail-in ballots because of COVID, an incumbent who gained around a fifth of previous vote share and lost, something that has never happened before, a senile old man who ran the weakest campaign in history and somehow got the most votes in the history of the country who underperformed both Hilary and Obama in every major metro area except Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Atlanta and Detroit, which all happen to be in swing states.
Yeah an election that was as normal as any other in America's history you fucking retard.
Agree that there were a lot of extenuating circumstances, though disagree with any kind of conspiracy lean.

Biden was a pretty weak candidate, but Covid was a political game changer. In the primaries, Biden went from being the golden boy to getting creamed pretty early on. Pretty much any public appearance he made, he either goofed up pretty badly, or did nothing to improve himself. His team recognized this, and when the opportunity to keep him in a basement came up via quarantine, they pounced on it and managed to spin it where Biden was being level headed and responsible, while Trump botched the response.

Biden also benefited from people who just really hated Trump, and would vote for anyone with a D next to their name. They were also more energized to vote, and in general, Dems did a better job pushing the early/mail in vote. I admit this is speculation on my part, but I think that got people who wouldn't normally vote to participate in this election, since they didn't have to worry about getting out to a polling station and waiting in line or anything. I think, with younger voters especially, this can be an issue.

Again, not trying to imply a conspiracy or anything, and back when it was more relevant, I'd always try and do a similar breakdown of why Trump outperformed against Hillary. Though I should add Hillary's lose was arguably "worse" in a sense, since there was a lot more she could have done to improve her odds. While Trump could have done things differently, it's not like he could stop the pandemic from happening, and even with the best response possible, some people will blame him solely because he's the leader.

I genuinely think, if not for Covid, Trump would have had a relatively easy win. Hell, even in the first few weeks I expected things to die down by the summer and be forgotten about by the election. And, again, in that scenario, pretty easy win. But, that's not what happened. I'm certainly not happy Biden is president, and I have low expectations for him doing much of anything. Even with the wins in Georgia, the Democratic party isn't known for getting shit done. I'd arguably extent that to politicians in general right now. Lots of people on the left kept saying doomsday scenarios, first when Trump became president and had his own majority, then when he appointed his justices. We never got fascist death camps, or became a puppet nation to Russia or whatever the fearmongering was. Just like I don't think Biden is going to round up all our guns and defund the police or turn us into a socialist nation.

Congress now gets lauded as brave heroes for riding out the QStorm that descended upon them. They certainly need that after years of record low approval ratings and the most recent "fuck you plebs" with their COVID-19 "relief [for us elites]" bill. Plenty of the same people calling them a bunch of evil assholes a week ago are now cheering the establishment goons.

Don't respond to rhetorical insults with discursive argument. Simply call them out as a degenerate pedo, a liar and have done.

Remember when a fat bitch had a heart attack in Charlottesville and Trump disavowed the whole thing - meanwhile an unarmed woman gets shot to death, and he tells his people to go home. Wonder why anyone thought he was good?
