I would actually love to see him try and run for office. He lives in an overwhelmingly Republican area, so he could probably win the Democratic nomination for a seat in the legislature by default. His Delegate is actually Rob Bell, so the potential for a debate between the two would be really funny. That being said, despite Chris calling Bell a wuss, he seems to have thought of him as "his lawyer" for some time afterwards, so I don't see that happening, sadly.
As for Chris running for Governor, were that something he were actually interested in, it would be virtually impossible for him to qualify given the fees necessary to be a contender for the Republican or Democratic primary/convention (not to mention the fact that he would lose said primary or convention), nor would he be able to collect the necessary number of signatures to get on the ballot as a third party or independent candidate. He could run a write-in campaign, though.
TL;DR it would be like virtually every other effort that Chris has made over the past decade--unsuccessful.
