Was the MSM retarded about criticizing Trump over the last 4 years? Yes, absolutely. But you have to remember, they began with actual criticisms that were met with a childish "fake news, you're spreading fake news" complete with no information to back up those claims. The back and forth went on, magapedes picked up on the call of fake news and the MSM sunk down to their level to attempt to get them to listen.
Go watch correspondent footage of the riot. Any time a magapede wandered close to a reporter that was live, they began to bleat "FAKE NEWS, FAKE NEWS." Magapedes didn't/don't want to hear shit that doesn't match their world view, so the MSM stupidly devolved to dumb shit like "lol, Drumpf" and "baby hands" in retaliation.

Yeah, I won't disagree that the response to the media was childish, nor would I disagree that the media sinking down there as a reaction was a good plan. That being said, I'm not going to backtrack from saying fuck the media, because fuck the media. It's all just indicative of the rift between the two parties in America and how it grows wider by the minute. The fact that Trump isn't going to attend the inauguration isn't going to do much to mend that, either.

It would go a very long way if he attended and congratulated Biden on his victory and if both candidates could just shut the fuck up with the rhetoric for ten minutes, but with the kind of fire he's been stoking for the past two months, he's shoved into a corner and behind ten miles of paint. The fault is entirely his own, but there's no graceful way out of this that doesn't involve a permanent, fatal wound to his ego, and we're talking about Donald Trump.

That was never going to happen.

I always get the feeling that most Trumpers never paid much attention to anything before he came on the political scene, because even Obama dealt with a shit load of hatred. Bush Jr too. But speaking of the Clintons, remember how fucking horrific the media was to Chelsea? An actual child whose only claim to fame was being unwittingly thrust into the spotlight because of her parents? That was some real low shit.

I also wonder if a large amount of the most vocal Trump fans were simply not paying attention until towards the end of Obama's time. The very young ones I can forgive. But so many of them act like Trump was the very first president to ever be criticized at every possible moment. They really seem to think the president is (and should be) lauded and praised and worshipped. And if they were over 25 years old in 2016, they really have no excuse for believing that except pure wilful ignorance.

Having said what I said about the media, I should note that American right wing has created a media ecosystem that even worse in almost every respect to the "mainstream" media, so I think their complaints should be taken with a grain of salt.

Would not surprise me. People only start paying attention when bad shit hits them.
However I think a very large part were paying attention and really appreciated someone that ran his mouth, was not polished and put into words everything they were thinking.

You'll cut the only person saying the things you want to say but cannot or did not know you could say huge amounts of slack.

And every leader has their cult of personality that is beyond retarded. That is never the majority. Trump is not new in that regard.

Obrador is a similar popular guy who ran projecting an image of being a strong bully to fix Mexico's problems. He was just as much of a paper tiger and he's been getting a lot of flak for it, so it could be a bit of a publicity stunt. Might also be he knows he needs his own cult of personality base to have a chance of staying politically relevant.

Pelosi is being dramatic, if BLUMPF actually tried to order a nuclear launch, the relevant actors would just disobey and Pence would have a "miraculous" change of mind and invoke the 25th. Keep in mind Trump tried to call get the National Guard into the Capitol with live rounds during the BLM protests and the Pentagon just cancelled that order. His support in the brass is doubtlessly at its lowest point now.
