Trump can at least take solace in having added the US to the list of countries with coups or coup attempts(I'm not counting state level attempts). I am scared. Sure, it's fun to laugh at the guy who shot himself in the balls, or that Viking guy, but this was still an attempted coup, and the only reason it failed so spectacularly is because the "revolutionaries" were fucking retarded. What is stopping them from trying something like this again? They may be a bunch of idiots, but they are still an armed bunch of idiots. The zipties and multiple explosives do paint a picture of people who were planning this for quite a while, and most of them are delusional to the point of no return. Who is going to prevent them? In this political climate, I wouldn't be surprised if a massive chunk of the fucking country supported, or at least sympathized with this coup. The cops were for the most part, fucking useless. They are getting kicked of mainstream sites, but what is stopping them from finding a new site which supports their cause, and spreading their ideology further?
Sorry if I sound like an idiot, but this genuinelly disturbs me in a way I can't quite describe. The more I hear about this event, the more scared I am about the fact that we were this close to seeing an act of domestic terrorism. I fear this won't end with Trump, this is possibly just the beginning of something much worse.

tbf given the DNC leaks, the DNC did want to promote Trump to be a Pied Piper candidate along with Cruz and Ben Carson thinking he'd be easy to beat in 2016.
