Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Over xmas and new year I dialled back my viewing and listening to the news and the research you have to do to get to the bottom of every story of interest. Mostly for sanity reasons.

Todays media can be summed up in one single article that was on itv.com, here in the UK. The headline....

.....and just a few lines in.....

Royal Mail has published a list of 28 areas suffering from limited delivery services as more of its workforce is affected by Covid-19.

The zones – comprising 27 in England and one in Northern Ireland – are no longer receiving regular post because of the high numbers of Royal Mail staff who are either off sick or self-isolating.

So; it is actually limited delivery service. LIMITED not NONE.

According to my friendly postie the problem with staff sick is not the issue. The real issue is the absolutely enormous(like a constant christmas x10) increase in parcels and stuff. It is people buying stuff constantly to either feel better, or out of boredom.
There are customers who have not received mail but no more than normal so that is bullshit, too. He said the majority who claim to have not got mail always seem to have letters that magically vanish that contain demands for unpaid bills/tax, notices of changes to benefits , cancellation of holidays, and notices of eviction etc.

That headline and the rubbish under it sums up mainstream media today. I know this is only about letters from not yet dead grandma and some Lego for Tiny Tim, but every fucking story, about anything you like, is the same level of mis-information and it is getting worse. Climate stuff, politics, the fucking virus, earth spinning faster, asteroids that are several million miles away...... it is all so very tiresome.

I am going back to not reading anything unless the headline is something like....

Horse kicks Boris Johnson to Death

...and there is a video of that event happening and i advise anyone struggling mentally with life to leave it all alone for a while.

Part of what has me curious:

Lets say 10-20 years from now, we are (hopefully) in a post-COVID world and we look back on what a shitshow this all was. Anyone think the Democrats will try to spin it to where they were the ones against the strict lockdowns and it was actually the sitting Republican president that overreacted and nearly destroyed everything?
Most people would tell you the democrats were anti segregation and freed the slaves as well. Its gonna be even easier now they control the media and textbooks.

a little off-topic but, the rockefellers? really? i can somewhat understand gates and soros, but aren't the rockefellers far too irrelevant for this period of time?

If you believe this, then the Rockefeller Plan is working perfectly...

On the topic of Cuomo, I dislike him intensely and he is a partisan grandstander who fucked up a lot of this, but he hasn't been as pro lockdown as governors like Whitmer or Newsome. He has never done curfews, travel bans (either cross border or within the state), arrested people for being outside, or sent police to break up home gatherings. He also hasn't made a state law fining people for not wearing masks.

What he has done is closed businesses, churches and schools in the beginning which is shitty, though at least he changed his tune from shutting down multiple counties in a huge region to microcluster areas of neighborhoods and zip codes. He has shown a willingness to change if things don't work. He has also been saying since the beginning that we need to open the economy and he has resisted shutting down businesses again in large strokes. A lot of the business closures or shortened hours are due to local laws or businesses choosing to do so, often due to lack of business/staffing. He did shutdown gyms and dining after 10 pm which is stupid as hell.

Not simping for the guy, just honest hate--he hasn't suddenly changed his position or anything. He's better than Newsome, but that's not saying much. He still killed a lot of old people, and there is no denying the restrictions we do have ended up killing a lot of business, especially restaurants, for good.

He should give Nick Sandmann's lawyer a call. He might be able to net him a pretty sweet settlement if he plays his cards right.

There was concern in my province that we would be locked down as hard as our fellow Leafs, and end up with a curfew. It hasn't happened, thankfully, at least not yet. Everyone I know thinks the concept of a curfew is retarded. Is the virus nocturnal now? Is it a vampire? Will I be safe if I eat garlic, and bathe in Holy Water? But, deep down, I know that if a curfew does get implemented, people might bitch and moan, but nobody will actually do anything about it, including myself. It's easy to point and laugh at all you guys in South Canada, for rioting at the drop of a hat, but I wish my country would adopt even an ounce of your fighting spirit, and love of freedom

Uhhh NO, that is probably the single worst idea i've heard in weeks. Lin Wood is totally insane.

After losing weight, Criso Sanchez felt good.

He was watching what he ate, had stayed active, and had shed the double chin that his mother Maria uses as a barometer for how heavy he is.

Then the pandemic hit. Stuck at home, the 18-year-old Sanchez started putting back on some of the weight he lost.

“There’s nothing to do, you’re like, I’m just going to eat,” he said. “You just eat, you sleep, you eat a little bit more, you sit there and watch TV. It put everything on pause.”

Edit: putting a link to the story I ripped this quote from.

UK: police arrest people for walking along the beach and drinking coffee
View attachment 1841742

This is horrifying and all that, but it's kind of mind blowing to see that many people on a beach, and hear someone say there's hardly anyone there. I actually can't wrap my brain around that not being a crowded beach. I pity people who can never be outside and be completely alone now more than ever.

I did a search for something like "I'm sick of this coronavirus hoax". Of course, with the internet being the honknet of Current Year, all the top results were hot takes by hipster "journalists" who want you to Trust The Science® and Listen And Believe® in The Narrative® that the coof is deadly airborne ebolaids that totally justifies everyone wearing muzzles 24-7 and living under endless house arrest.

I'm tired of big tech so blatantly manipulating people. Remember when finding stuff online wasn't a bullshit rigamarole?

That was back when these companies werent big enough to fail. For all our talk of defending capitalism, it sure enjoys backstabbing us in the back when it gets too powerful.

Shit like this made me realize we are stuck either between being ruled by Big Government or Mega Corporations (when at this point they might as well be the same thing)

Im really starting envy the dead at this point, at least wherever they are, they dont have to suffer more of this utter stupidity. Im finally starting to get what the massage guy from Jacob's Ladder meant when "But if you made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth"

Seeing the state of the earth today...Im finally starting to get it...That movie still drives me to tears to this day.

Didn't you hear? The election year's over, it's time to stop artificially suppressing the economy so Joe can't take the blame for it. :story:

Remember, those governors played politics with your lives. Remember, your families starved and died for nothing while this fuck got his cock sucked by every NEET, rich asshole, and media personality in Manhattan. Hope it was worth it.

Yep they did and they also got the confirmation (if they didnt have it already) that the common man now is so disgustingly complaiant that they will even defend their obviously corrupt actions instead of rising against it. They will use that information well for the next few years I assure you.

As I said, whatever happens next its entirely on us.

You know, at this point, I just wonder what would happen if they outright came out and said "Yep, we made the virus AND released it on purpose...what are you going to do, huh?"

They know we know they control the economy, the internet, the politics, the police even the fucking army...so what can we do?

"Who knows, maybe the next virus might be actually rather dangerous, you never know...it would be a true shame if we did that if you people did something against us"

And you know whats even worse?...heh...people would STILL defend them! Sure, some would finally wake up but...most wouldnt. They would rationalize it and say it was for the best, now society is truly improved and equal! They saved us from ourselves!

My faith in humanity has gotten so disgustingly low that I think that they might as well admit it, nothing will happen and they will be defended either way.

Even the people who believe The Narrative® should be noticing that if this "pandemic" was as bad as they're being conditioned to believe, then why aren't people getting the coof and even dying left and right?

Then again, "critical thinking" doesn't seem to be taught in Clown World schools - just the cult of "scientism" and "respecting authority" instead.

envy the dead
Despite the corruption and misery that has shaped this world's history, at least people back then never had to deal with the bland cyberpunk dystopia that is urban life in Current Year. Living as perpetual germaphobes in a hellscape of corporate buildings and Ford Transit* vans.

*(I've never seen so many of the ugly things before 2020.)

I know if Joepedo announces NATIONAL LOCKDOWN WEAR A MASK OUTSIDE OR ELSE I don't plan on following it. I expect my county sheriff will ignore it but if he doesn't I won't give a shit either because I'll live my life as I always do. I won't wear a mask outside when I exercise because I don't feel like it. If I'm fined or go to jail than I'll accept that consequence of my resistance to tyranny.

I just hope that if it happens Joe and the local cuck who claims himself the governor declares the liquor stores as "essential" (LOL) and that the roads clear out so I don't have to deal with traffic like back in April and May. Let's be like the USSR where we all drink ourselves to death to ignore the misery around us.
A bit late but

Delay the olympics again
I guess "MUH NEW STRAIN" is the hill our lives will die on now.

It's interesting how few left wing groups there are saying "HAH, I TOLD YOU CONSERVATIVES THESE CORPORATIONS WERE BAD." Many of those left-wing groups are now censored themselves (like look at the World Socialist Website, it's a Trotskyist publication and interesting to read even if it's very often disagreeable--they were bitching about Big Tech censorship years ago). The modern Republican Party basically sealed their own doom when they expanded into the South on the basis of being the "party of business" and then cozied up to Big Business. Suddenly conservative values aren't so popular anymore and the Republicans need to reinvent themselves from the mainstream Democrats (also controlled by Big Business). Well they chose Trump and Trump was inept at removing the influence of Big Business, but did JUST enough that Big Business can jump to the Democrats and purge the Republicans since your consoomer "communist" on Twitter is better than a QBoomer.

Big business was always the problem and small business always benefitted when governments gave the people opportunities like in the 1950s-1970s. 1950 - 1975 is the golden age of capitalism because the government made it work with all sorts of benefits to the poor and restrictions on the elite. It was unprecedented prosperity in human history and we (in the US/Commonwealth/Western Europe/Japan) lived the echo of it until 2010 at the earliest and 2020 at latest. It wasn't all good, I mean it raised up new corrupt classes but for most people it definitely was. It's terrifying that we've now decisively left that post-WWII prosperity and are in uncharted waters.

All I can say is that the society to come is just a reversion to the societies we've always lived under. There are topics you cannot speak of, there are people you cannot question.

Social engineering was always a major goal of this scamdemic.

faith in humanity
Social engineering was always a major goal of this scamdemic.
Of all the worlds and all the eons in this incomprehensibly vast universe of space and time, each of us here were born on this shitty world - with this very faulty species - and just in time to endure endless coronapanic. What are the odds?

Their excuse is always along the lines of "well its only killing so few because of the mandates!" and quite possibly retard-tier shit about COVID upgrading its lethality as it kills more.

A month or so back (or a year? I have no idea. time is an illusion now) there was an article written by a PhD (I want to say on the Johns Hopkins website?) analyzing the average death rate vs the death rate in the last year and finding there wasn't a massive difference and pointing out how a lot of reports were massaging the numbers to make the graphs look a lot more alarmist than they were. I remember it getting censored hard at the time and it may have been pulled from whichever site it was posted on. Does anyone happen to have a link to the archive?
A little late, you may have found it already. I still have the PDF saved on my computer. Attaching it now.

I like the gigantic "RETRACTED BY THE NEWS-LETTER" superimposed on every page, and the tweet posted at the bottom about how they retracted it due to people reading it and actually realizing that the Wu Flu has been blown out of proportion. Nope, can't let people decide for themselves, just believe us when we tell you it's super EbolAIDS on steroids!

That's one of my biggest worries when this is all over (I refuse to say "if," I'm holding out at least some hope still), that the powers that be will cover up their complete bungling of every single aspect of this laughable "pandemic" and suffer no consequences for their actions. Lives have been ruined, businesses have been destroyed, children are being shut off from their peers, bunches of people have turned into antisocial misanthropic germophobes, and deaths from suicides and delayed medical treatments are being ignored, and for what? Maybe possibly giving Grandma another year, assuming that the restrictions actually worked and that she wouldn't have died of some other infection anyway. Meanwhile, governments and megacorps gain even more control over our lives, control that people seem all too happy to hand over.

But hey, they're just following their own playbook: never let a good crisis go to waste.

I guess "MUH NEW STRAIN" is the hill our lives will die on now.

I know that coincidences are common and generally mean jack shit but fucking really? Unprecedented worldwide vaccination process is underway and then oh hey look over here, a new strain that spreads faster and is even deadlier than the old one, and somehow it's already all over the world in spite of the fact that international travel has had a dildo rammed into its ass since mid-March! Stay safely in your pod for six more months citizen! Just what the fuck.
