Hoshikawa’s new 3d model has a similar problem despite not having the shoulder jacket. Every time she moves in her concerts it looks goofy.
 
Don't they have any other racing games to play other than MK8 or is the racing scene that bad only MK8 is the only competent game to stream without issues?
 
Considering the bizantine and draconian licensing policies nintendo has, they probably do but might as well get their money's worth with mario kart.

Anything by Codemasters is too technical at this point. Maybe Forza Horizon, but even that might be a little much. I don’t think Burnout really caught on, and it’s been 10 years since a good Burnout came out anyway.
 
Didn't Crash Team Racing "recently" get a new sequel/remake/whatever?

They could try that.

Otherwise, I don't know of any normie-tier racing games that could be casually streamed and enjoyed these days. Kind of a dying/monopolized genre.

I bet 90% of them hadnt even touched a controller before streaming, so they need something that is easy to play.

A substantial amount of them are from ゲーム実況天国/GameHeaven, then there are also multiple that had/have prior Vtuber or Gaming channels like Botan (who is still active) and Polka. It's kind of ignorant to think that people applying to Hololive, outside of Sora and AZKi, have no or little experience playing video games. The only exceptions might be those who prefer ASMR like Choco or Noel.

Idk man, I would prefer if they play anything else other than Kart racing games. I want to give their racing games stream a chance but that won't happen if they keep playing only Kart racing games. Just let me see them drive cool cars, any cars. Even futuristic racing games that tries to be current day F-Zero. Just anything instead of riding Nintendo karts for the millionth time.

Maybe Forza Horizon? I heard high praise for that series.

It says something when I have better time watching them fuck around in GTA. Breath of fresh air, even with dogshit driving skills.

I really don't understand why so many got emotional at the end of the tournament.

I mean, I kinda understand cases like Aqua, who got second by one friggin' point, and Flare, who got out of the winners bracket due to a technicality, but the rest..? If you went to most of the lower placed girls practice streams, they consistently did bad against viewers, I don't really know what they expected to happen.

Happy for Suisei and Marine, though!

Hopefully Gura continues streaming her RDR2 play-through. Watching her play as a complete sociopath was amusing -- wanting to kill and eat one of the gang members to killing the surrendered guards so that they don't 'tattle'. Of course, her favorite part was playing dress-up.

Also, anyone know why her RDR2 video doesn't show up in the subscription feed? I thought it was unarchived at first until I checked the videos on her channel's page.

I was about to say this. Cover Corp. is a "cutting-edge 2D entertainment company," and Hololive Production is a "virtual idol group." One is owned and operated by the other. They are not the same.

It was pretty hard to watch, I felt horrible for her. Also, I think it's gross someone clipped it and translated it, personally. It's a real, visceral emotional breakdown and I really don't agree with showcasing it like this, but the internet is savage and we all like them clicks, so I get it.

She was all-in on defending her title, which seems gay to people like us but, a few things - Aqua is a "gamer," and super competitive at heart. Being good at video games is kinda what she's known for, and playing them is a big part of her actual, literal job. Lastly, she practiced her balls off for this (as a lot of the girls did but Aqua especially so, doing multiple autistic 10+ hour streams for practice).

All that and she ends up losing by ONE POINT. I'd probably cry, too. I don't blame her.

From what I understand is she had problems fitting in and couldn't make friends so she job-hopped a lot. But then said Hololive was the first group she was a part of where she really felt like she was loved, and had a family-type relationship with the others.
