I will gladly let all of Hollywood burn and every hobo in L.A. piss on the ashes if that kept a steel refinery or an oil rig in place, because they are more important and they generate more lifetime revenue than some bullshit movies. Plus, due to direct and secondary employment, a steel refinery employs much more people than a whole movie studio.
We know it's not because of economical importance, he's just an entitled asshat that wants to masquerade his own pompous desire as something important.

Not to mention that the wealth the movie industry generates goes to a few people at the top whereas the agricultural sector actually keeps bread on people's plates. There's a reason I have far less qualms about pirating a film than I would about stealing wheat.

The only ways to get into a career job are 3 and you already named 2: You start as an intern, learning the trade and getting experience, eventually getting hired or using that experience to score another job. Other is having someone to speak up for you to their employer or a friend that needs to cover some position or is hiring people to expand. I will say that traditionally, your first serious job is obtained this way. You have your older brother, father, uncle, etc... recommend you to a company and they will speak to the boss favorable about you. The third is inheriting your family business. It's not easy and it tends to go south unless you have someone help you properly (in economics, the average small family business only lasts 3 generations).

Yeah, a friend of mine told me learning a trade from scratch is always a viable and extremely valuable option, even for people that are considered "obsolete" in the job market. There is always need for welders, electricians, carpenters, stonecutters, metalworkers... And believe me that i would happily throw my useless college degree into a raging fire in order to be taken as a carpenter and learn a trade.

Similarly, the social media giants (read: Facebook and Twitter) will suppress any news about Biden's obvious corruption.
