I mean, this kind of shit was happening everywhere. There was another of a black lady trying to stop people from looting a Target and everybody blew right past her.
There is a long history of the black community saying "You're gonna fuck it up for everybody" and shit like this is why it happens.
It's unfortunate, but it's what happens. How many BLM or Antifa assholes tend to be other races kicking shit up.
I don't agree with BLM and the way they want about their movement, as it has no clear goal or organization to be seen other than pointing out the obvious that happens with police and chanting.
I will say I do sympathize that their movement keep getting co-opted by the literal worst types of people and when they aren't getting co-opted they had to deal with the dumbest rebuttal of
"Blue lives matter" and "All lives matter" and "White lives matter" which is just ridiculous, it's quite literally a protest to their protest.
Whole thing is fucking dumb, if anything BLM, Antifa, and Maga have shown me these past 4 years that we Americans can organize ourselves into a mob really well, but we have no fucking clue what to do when we group up.
Is there some compilation of this sort of thing? Stories, videos, whatever? I could really use some whitepills of people treating each other like human beings, especially across the lines the left loves racebaiting, in these trying times. There were a few in the race riots thread that were quite touching.
Again what fucking reality do you people live in?

It did come down on them a lot sooner. Police arrested 316 people on June 1 in DC during BLM protests. On January 6th they arrested 61 people. That's the reason this is going to be the most expensive investigation ever. They had all these people acting wild and instead of arresting them on the spot they casually escorted them out of the building so now they have to launch an unprecedented investigation to find people scattered all over the US who they let slip away.
Also some of these people are truly fucked. DOJ is pursuing sedition charges against some people.
What if I told you dozens of BLM protestors were charged with terrorism counts despite only doing property damage

It's almost like the system is against anything that threatens it
A handful were charged, yes. Those with crystal clear evidence of committing actual crimes, rather than everyone in the general vicinity. They will have competent legal representation at trial instead of an overworked public defender due to monopolies colluding to prevent them from raising funds to present a vigorous criminal defense. At every level, they will be treated with cushier treatment for what they did, but yes, a few will likely do hard time. Meanwhile on the other side, flag grandma is looking at 20 years for sedition.
I agree with you that for any given instance, I can make apology for why the leftists get off easy or the right gets the book thrown at them, but after awhile an obvious pattern emerges that I am done ignoring. If we're embracing disparate impact doctrine and equality of outcome rather than opportunity for social issues, that cuts both ways.
You may think you are arguing for equal treatment, while I think you are biased and arguing for unequal treatment. I know we're all just internet speds, but assuming we had power: what mechanism would you propose to resolve this disagreement on what constitutes "fair"? What's fair doesn't usually feel fair to everyone, afterall. My best guess is that you believe that your side should just crush mine, and I'm coming around to that conclusion myself, if ours had the power yours does. So perhaps we're in agreement after all. Previously, I believed in higher ideals, but the Culture War has beaten that out of me.
You guys keep conveniently leaving out the part that the Capitol rioters actually tried to fuck with the American democracy. They were unhappy with the results of the Presidential election so they tried to disrupt the process. That is not just going after the elites.
And before you post something stupid in return: Yes, that means I am in favor of punishing BLM for burning down properties and attacking people for not chanting buzzwords with them.
If the Capitol protest was domestic terrorism than the race riots clearly were. Their violence was intended to intimidate the people into abolishing the police (lol). There is absolutely no comparison between well financed and planned protracted riots bordering on state terror due to the ambivalence of local government like the fucking Klan and trying to portray a disorganized mob that got violent as some kind of planned insurrection. The sheer level of violence and destruction alone is incomparable.
Again, I agree we should treat them both equally, but that means charging people who committed actual crimes,
permitting them to present a vigorous legal defense, and not flailing around to overcharge anyone in the general area. You demand your side be treated as individuals while ours may be demonized as a collective. Hit all hundred protestors with trespassing if you like, but sedition it ain't. Zip tie guy? Toss him to the wolves for all I care.
