Yeah but people here and in reddit complained that Kiara did not get gacha currency to blow it like it usually happen, last thing i remember she got Djeeta and posted it on twitter, at least Ina (well her roomate) play the Salt planet that is FGO and she iirc was in the last event before Christmas 2020 (the one where Nemo was in the gacha and she got him)

I mean, considering Kiara's too bird-brained to go through the trouble of hiding sensitive information on her stream for a few moments to whale her up some gacha currency and start rolling on stream, I expected nothing less out of her.

Not sure what Ina playing Fate GO has to do with the branch having a promotional deal with PriConne, but okay. I figured most people already knew by now how she's a regular player of FGO.

Regarding Kiara, she follows a similar approach as Rushia. Whether she does it just because that's how she is or as a legit strategy can be debated. Recently, I have been getting recommended clips of Kiara. Like with Rushia, many of the clips that I see have the waifu pandering to the audience's parasocial derangements. Often offering kisses, sweet words, and playing the role of a virtual girlfriend of sorts.

I feel that as with Rushia (2nd most superchatted hololiver) this strategy is bringing in some parasocial whales and might result to her becoming the leading superchat EN earner. I don't have any evidence to back up my prediction though, Regardless, superchats alone shouldn't be used as the metric for who is Cover's biggest cashcow. Not saying they don't mean anything, but you have to remember how much of the cut is taken by both the waifu and Youtube.

It certainly helps that Kiara probably has the most engagement with her fans out of all of EN, at least from what I noticed. She'll give total nobodies the time of the day as long as their comments/replies catch her attention.

Even though parasocial relationships are incredibly unhealthy, it's a good business play to pander just a bit to those folks. Simple acknowledgement here and there. Keeps people coming back due to the whole "parasocial" aspect.

Now we know who's making those tier lists that don't fit at all.

Cover is a Japanese entertainment company and knows that being political is a fucking deathwish. They're not gonna do it and the pressure will be from no-name armchair critics who don't understand that an entertainer's job is primarily to entertain. Granted, a lot of stand-up is political but GOOD stand-up is shit that you can laugh at even if you disagree with the personal politics of the presenter.

As such, they'll remain apolitical and the people clamoring for the holos to speak out on their personal politics can sit and spin.

Entertainment can ask you what you think, bounce new ideas off of what you think, even challenge what you think. Propaganda tells you what to think.

I don't know if this is old news, but I found Cover's Wantedly page and found that they have 111 employees. Note sure how up to date that info is, but I assume that it's somewhat recent given that they reference Fubuki having one million subs, meaning the page has been updated within the last two months. It's still a bit surprising seeing that 46% of their employees are the anime talents. That leaves 59 employees that work behind the scenes.

Agree, dunno how you can have a discussions about Generational Cohesiveness and not bring up sankisei. They're always streaming together, doing offcollabs, supporting each other during special occasions, talking on Twitter, you name it. They definitely gel the best out of all the Generations. I'd put gokisei right under them, they get along great and love each other a lot. I'd attribute most of that to shared trauma of the loss of Aloe.

The earlier generations (0th, 1st, 2nd) don't seem to get together as much, at least not exclusively. I think that the whole tight-knit units didn't really start being a thing until Gamers came around (and that was because they all already knew each other from their NND friend-circles). I know nikisei said they wanna get together more often, since their first full-group offcollab was only a few months ago....after being around for over two years. Whoops.

I don't think she's ever had a sub milestone celebration or endurance stream right? One of the few times I can find of her mentioning subs is her wanting to buy an Ikea Shark for every milestone.

Probably a bit of a stretch but Gura strikes me as someone with imposter syndrome. I know, I know, she had 1 million subs prior to Gura. But from the beginning, she's never really drawn attention to it, even before she hit 1 million. And depending on how much she looks up to the other members, like Fubuki, I can definitely see her feeling guilty of blowing all of them out of the water. Even though I'm sure Fubuki for that matter couldn't care less about comparing analytics.

I'm pretty sure that's the case. The Imposter Syndrome and that she probably feels like it'd be uncouth and insensitive to talk up her insane sub numbers knowing that a lot of her senpais have been doing this job for over three years already and don't even have 25% of her sub count. It makes sense to me, and I'm actually proud of her for holding back on it. It's gotta put Cover in a weird position though, since a lot of the JP girls have sub number commemoration packs, but Gura's has grown so fast that they've had no time to prepare anything even if they wanted to.

Talent are not employees. Cover is an agency, and talents are individuals under contract.

the thing is the game itself still lack of content especially for gacha, the SSR character on that game can still be count with finger, even the whole character game still waaay to small for gacha game, its not even globally launch. its weird they try to promote it when it still have anything to do in game. i even wonder wtf the other EN member gonna stream for that game? beside ina prolly drawing the character
