I kind of agree with both of you. I was looking at her view count (186) and I couldn’t escape the feeling of just feeling bad because I know that it should be 10-50x more than what it was. I think that’s the thing we wanna say, at least I do, is just fuck all of them. Change your number, ask to join holohouse and get back out there back on stage where you belong and you’d be making more money you’ve ever made in your life. It’s sucks that especially in her situation I can see where she may not think that way and it is sometimes really frustrating. I’m gonna sound like a fag for saying it but I did think about shutting off the stream and going to bed because for me at least it was kind of tough to watch. I found myself enjoying the conversation and just sat there and watched till the end.

Apparently changing your number in Japan is a bitch to do? Maybe someone can look into that better than I can. Also, she's commented on it, she's fucking stupid and think she'll be trouble. Even tho her generation so far has had no trouble generating their own fucking problems without her. A generation of talented fuck ups and that is why I love gen 5.

That is the frustrating part. It’s telling someone who is super dense not to think the way they think and you just sit there dumbfounded as they try and figure it out no matter how well you explain it

You care too much and if the Aloe fans want her back, they need to cut her loose and starve her of options till she goes back to Hololive. I'm not going to cry just because Watame gets teary eyed over someone over sharing in a super chat. If you're there for Delta, then you need to give up on Aloe, if you're there for Aloe, you need to give up on Delta.

Yeah you’re right. At this point I have already accepted that she’s most likely never gonna go back to Hololive. I probably just didn’t make it clear. Of course I say that yet I still have this .1% chance that she’ll figure it out, but that’s just me being a sucker for happy redemption arcs. My realist side says just watch her because you enjoy it and if she does or doesn’t come back well then that’s life. That’s where I lean towards.
 
Haachama is grasping chess fast, it is actually awe inspiring how much more strategical she becomes even if it is too late.

I would agree that she deserved better but with how things turned out to be. All that anyone can do is just hope she doesn't cross the line and end it. Not only that some of holos were waiting for the restriction to be lifted, but there was also an Aloe welcoming page from the holotools extension that I found on Reddit but I think lost link, or it's gone but I'll try and find it.

I'm gonna ignore that other guy being an asshat about Del, thinking he knows what he's talking about, and just respond to you.

Her initial plan was to move away from home this month but she's decided to push it back because the climate for finding good rates on apartments and what have you is apparently much better in the early Summer, so as of now, she's gonna stick it out until about May from what I recall, barring if she's changed her mind in the last couple days but I don't think so. As for her phone number, she changed it a while ago.

Also, lemme lay something out for you and everyone else, my personal opinion:

Her quitting Hololive was the best decision for someone like her. I honestly do not believe she is cut out for a job like that. A young, naive kid with no hardcore work experience and an absolute plethora of mental issues brought on by a horrendous, abusive childhood would NOT do well in a job like that. When you're a Hololive talent, an absolutely huge chunk of the (online) world will have eyes on you at ALL times, there will be hordes of haters (as we know), and just a constant whirlwind of traveling to the studio, doing collabs, recording songs, keeping up with your fanbase, streaming/scheduling, and all of that NOT at your own pace, but at your agency's, though Cover is understanding, it's still an insane amount of work.

We've seen and heard from the other Holos about how hard they have to grind most times, it is not all sunshine and rainbows and superchat money raining from the sky. Their job is actually very difficult a lot of times, a tough fucking slog. Now plug in someone like Aloe/Del, and her extremely fragile psyche (and body as well), and really sit and have a good think about how'd that turn out. It wouldn't have been good, I fully believe she would have cracked and retired sooner over later, no matter what the outcome, antis/doxing or not. Due to how her brain has molded itself, it just wouldn't have worked out.

EDIT: Also, I can't believe some of y'all with your "bootstraps" mentality, you have no idea what she's been through, do you? That shit isn't always simple as.

Hell, I don't even dislike her, or her fan base. I enjoyed the small time she had as Aloe and her time now as Delta. Nothing I said was untrue.

Edit: There is no bootstrap mentality. I also said she had a victim mentality, it's why she's hesitant to do anything and won't go back to Hololiv, that's not incorrect. She could make a lot of money is what one dude said and I said she had senpai and fans ready to help her weather the storm, because she does. They were all ready to keep going forward.

I don't agree considering her circumstances quitting was the worst thing she could have do, Hololive was the best platform for someone like her to jump in other venues , good ambient of work, flexible hours, high chances of networking and expanding influences in the industry, good way to start new but like you said she is rookie, she immediately was overwhelmed for a single problem that is pretty common in the business, the best thing she could have do was stay and keep going to at least get true work experience that can help her in the future and not leaving with a scandal, staying would have showed to future employers that she has what it takes to do the job

Also leaving in the entertainment industry is not exactly a path of roses in Japan, everyone knows everyone in that place and she is probably branded as volatile and even if she try again in another place as a singer it would be hard pass because she is not going to be considered for anything because "she could not handle being a streamer less is going to handle being a professional singer"

You may believe leaving was the best for her but thinking in long terms and in her future it was the worst because she only has 1 skill and she kneecapped her key to use it for a living

I can see where you thought there was a bootstrap mentality. I’m just saying that this is the mentality of people who aren’t depressed talking to a depressed person. I’ll admit I sort of fall into that category in that I can’t understand her reasoning, but I understand it enough to know to just let her choose her own path and just hope for the best and I think everyone here understands that.

Reminder that even if she'd stayed, the whole family situation would still be a problem and could still further the stress of coming back, and just like what Mister O. and another poster here mentioned that she'd still graduate from that problem sooner or later. And I don't think the other 5th gen mates would know about that either. But I see what you mean about that if she could stay it could help her long term for her pursue of singing and live streaming and at least then she'd had her gen mates for help and even the other holos. But still, there could be a chance that may not be even enough to help her long term.

Besides, I've already been at terms with the fact she would never come back as aloe ever as the whole shit show went down and I had always been a bit annoyed by the those aloe savior posters in those /hlg/ threads every time and I somewhat do.

You try living her life, seeing what she's seen, and not having a terminal defeatist, victim mentality. As I said, it's not quite as easy as you'd think. You're not totally wrong, but you're also way off-base and not really putting yourself in a mentally-ill, abusive-victim's shoes.

Also, one last thing to add from before - just because you have a 'support system' like fans, or friends (gen-mates), doesn't mean your problems go away. Even the best of friends can't always save you from yourself. I personally know people who have hurt or even killed themselves even though they had a close support system and many people that loved them. That's great, but ultimately the true battle is within. For example, Polka, who posts updates for her YT channel members, talks about being depressed and exhausted at least once or twice a week, as she still has lingering paranoia and extreme fear of failure/being disliked due to her earlier career(s), and God knows what else. Yet, she has a 'support system,' no? As I said, it doesn't always help. Polka's just an example, Aloe was/is much worse off than she is, too.

Ultimately she weighed the choice and chose to leave, and I believe the quote from the letter was that she felt she wasn't mentally able to continue on with the career, and I think that's absolutely true, and even if it wouldn't have been at the time, eventually she would have cracked and bowed out at a later date. The pressure and pace of the lifestyle would have gobbled her up, harassment/doxing or not.

Did she "kneecap" herself? Maybe, but that remains to be seen. She's doing quite well now, and has bigger plans for the future. Sure, she's said over the past few months that she wants to stay indie, but maybe she'd change her mind someday soon after she moves and can clear her mind away from her parents' toxicity.
