The best are the times Phil tosses his hands up in frustration. That, and the loud sighs after getting beat.

My favorites are the ones where he gives up in the middle of the match. I think he is secretly giving up so he can explain away the loss by saying he wasn’t trying and/or saying what he thinks is bugged.

Phil just played Goji and parried about 4 of Goji's attacks consecutively, including a double parry on a fireball.
After Goji beat him, Phil said that Goji only wins because of delay. See, the delay is just enough that it allows Goji to do completely unsafe and get illegitimate hits. But not so bad that Phil can't parry some things.
If he were playing offline, Phil could parry literally everything that Goji does and could deshhhtroy him.

You know, offline. Where Phil hasn't played anyone in 10 years.

Why again does he try and claim he's so good at Third Strike? Last I checked he pretty much always gets bodied at 3rd because his gorilla brain can't handle the wealth of options that game provides compared to something more primitive like ST.

You know why Phil likes ST? Because it's broken as shit and he liked exploiting it's design flaws. Hence bullshit Vega in the PS1 port because he was broken. This is why he thinks every fighting game has online only patterns that make you win: patterns that make you win is literally how Phil became successful at Street Fighter.

Unrelated to current events, but in regards to the troll fucking with Dave about 'buying' a statue, why was Dave so adamant about "This is not me selling you a statue. This is me sending you a gift in appreciation of your contribution."

I believe so, but I also think he was trying to steer clear of any twitch violation. If the money came in during a stream, and he was sending them something in return, it might look shady as shit (even to twitch). But if it was a money order or check (outside of a stream), it probably would have been for tax reasons. Slimy POS.

Okay, so like beating Phil takes a modicum of skill. Credit where its due. Even if he wouldn't. Phil isn't bad at Street Fighter. I mean its always that he does exactly what he accuses people of. He memorizes a pattern and rides it to hell. So, you need to be able to beat that to beat him. And that takes knowledge of the game and a little skill. Because a good pattern and flowchart is the first level of being good. It means you know the stuff and how to do it. And that takes time. Where Phil fails is the people who can go a step past. The people who know how the patterns work and why they work. And turn that against him.

To put in short for you people who have kissed a girl. Phil has enough know how and skill to know that X beats Y. And he knows every variation of X and Y. But he is hopeless when people introduce a Z that beats X.

Like always, the narrative is whatever Phil needs it to be at the moment. He wants to come off as cool, he talks about girls wanting him. He wants pity, he talks about being bullied. Mind you, you can be the guy that some girls liked AND got bullied by a couple of assholes, but Phil doesn't phrase the situation that way because that takes either honesty or awareness, neither of which applies to him at all.

This is why I'm so adamant that Phil's dream is to be a lying scumbag who treats everyone like shit and completely gets away with it. Literally everything about him SCREAMS that. It's obviously the reason we live in his head, because it isn't from us fucking with him in a way that would drive ANYBODY NUTS, because he doesn't get fucked with like that. He hates us because we ensure that he gets the bad rep he deserves, and he can't shut us down. He doesn't even get his pigroach luck putting an end to us, which I guarantee you pisses him off. We know how much he gets off on getting lucky, and hates it when he has to be skilled at something. That's why he congratulates himself for being good when he wins and blames bad luck when he loses. He knows the truth, and just projects his own issues onto others. His wins are always luck, and his losses are always because he sucks and luck didn't save him.

Never forget that people like Phil are always two unfortunate accidents away from being fucked forever. Look at how desperate he is to get a second streak going, which he can't even manage to pull off by cheating. Something happens to OiC and whatever other reliable whalechair he has, that's it, it's over. No more hitting the tips goal ever again, and we know what that means for his addiction.

Yes, but it's also his unfathomable need for a lack of change, which he applies to absolutely everything. His finances, his social life, his love life, his job, his schedule, his diet, his hobbies, everything has to stay exactly the same for him to be happy. Even positive change is bad to him. A boss can change their pattern to become easier to beat and he'll still complain simply because it changed.

And he had the audacity to refer to himself as an adaptive player (either this Friday or last Friday), which means he's not even willing to admit that he hates change so much, even though it's one of the most obvious things about him.

Having his cake and eating it too. He doesn't have the ability to play difficult games where he dies a lot AND remain calm and have fun, but he wants to be seen that way anyway, on top of not being able to admit it when a game is legit putting him to sleep because... I don't even know why, honestly.

As nauseating as that trait of his is, it's better than him figuring out how to embrace being a muppet because then he would be raking it in and Phil with more money is not a good thing.
