I think the patch culture really gave way for companies to do this. Before the seventh-gen era, games had to be finished and playable. Otherwise, it would be a buggy mess and stay a buggy mess. Of course, there were exploitable glitches that were cool but didn’t hinder the game.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 had a day-one patch bigger than the game itself. The game is still shit. If you didn’t have internet, you were fucked.

Has anybody's game gotten worse since launch? I bought the game on release and asides from a few funny little glitches, my game ran great. Now it's running worse and the graphics are blurring/blending together.

After the first patch pop in has been considerably worse. I think they lowered draw distance and fucked lods in a desperate attempt to improve performance at the cost of everything looking like shit.

Crowbs video did more to reveal how all the YouTube shills were raving about this game for years and when the masses started hating it they followed suit.

Not really, Fallout 4 is a way better and more functional RPG than CP2077 is. I'd say it's Saints Row IV but worse.

Depends on how things develop in the near future.

As it stands now, a more appropriate comparison would be the Fallout 76 kind of fuckup combined with the Atari 2600 port of Pacman levels of underdelivering. While the people from CD Project Red haven't doxed their customers (yet), scamming their investors and shareholders and fucking up a game so badly through Fyre Festival levels of managerial incompetence that they draw the ire of the government has to be unheard of in game development history.

If CD Project Red keeps fucking up even more instead of redeeming the game or at the very least fixing it, we might run out of comparisons as we see undiscovered lows that even James Cameron wouldn't dare to deep dive in.

Honestly, with the amount of blatant lies they spewed and the absolute fucking delusion "Well Reviewed on PC" - suck my fucking cock you polish cunt. At least for me, they're clearly not separating the patch from PC or console, either due to time or money or both. Everything is being geared 100% to fixing console which is pummeling the PC copy. So again, their mentality is fix it later. Utter fucking trash.

Yongyea is basically a robot designed to read the news and then regurgitate the safest opinions he can from forums and the articles themselves. It's probably the only way he stay sane doing this for a living (it's not like he's having much success at breaking into voice acting). The last time I remember him having any semblance of balls was when that guild wars lady was losing her shit. Even then, "belligerent sjw is wrong about stuff" isn't exactly the spiciest of takes, though it was funny seeing him get progressively more exasperated with her and her defenders.

Incompetence.

Separate platform patches are a pain, so it's easier to have the engine/code itself figure out what its running on and do the right things (Including special things for the special needs consoles). If they can't do that properly, then whatever they do to fix the PC version will just hurt the consoles later on.

Now that I think about it, at my last meeting, my boss rambled on about how he had to put a stop to his CP2077 playthrough since patches completely killed the experience for him and he got tired of flying cars constantly homing onto him.

All the placeholders, the spagetti shadow of the main character, the retarded AI convinced me this game is not even finished half way.
They haven't made proper animations for the main character, that's why they have no in game cutscenes.
