I can confirm you don't need VR to play or enjoy VRChat. You also don't need a custom avatar that costs an arm and a leg, there are plenty of avatars out there pre-made and learning to edit them is relatively simple.

I can say I've editted probably 6 or so avatars for personal use. You can use blender and a free add-on that was created specifically for optimization of models for VRChat. It allows you to easily fix any rigs, create lip syncing and compress material textures down in just 1 click of a button. There are a miriad of tutorials on YouTube on how to do this and how to also use unity to upload your avatar afterwards.

There are literally entire furry worlds in VRChat, it would be very easy for him to find a suitable avatar to use instead of paying someone to make him a specific one. Most people who make avatars don't model them from scratch, they edit pre-existing models or even steal models from other creators by scraping through the game cache files with a mod that, if you get caught using, will get you permabanned :story:

Hell, you can buy a pre-made model for a cheap price (most expensive I've seen so far was a Protogen model for $40-$50? Although that came with quite a massive VRC package iirc) and edit it to your liking.

There's a cat model but I cannot find it right now even. Not sure what would make Khord want an entirely unique model at all when he could easily just make as close he can to his character with a pre-made avatar.

i would like to mention that this doesn't include the equipment that allows people to like.. actually interact in VR. which, btw, can cost a hefty penny.

Just a reminder that the next hearing is on the 10th (less than 3 weeks away). After that, provided all things are going as expected, the last hearing is on March 12th. Given that Gabe has seemingly given up the facade of being " The Greatest Furry Dad " I'm not going to be surprised if it comes out he willingly terminates his own rights.
