Also, i will tell you that depending on the brotherhood that goes on Parade, their uniforms will be different. Usually, white means they worship a virgin, red means they worship a martyr and violet means they worship a saint.

No wonder these people talk out of their ass like this when they have no idea about what they talk about.
Also, the Catholics adapted pagan rituals to their whole system in order to integrate new converts easily in a way to say they could still perform their traditional rituals while worshipping Jesus. Plus, the main advocates for the liberation of slaves during the middle ages were monks and missionaries that lived with converts.

I think someone already posted here or in another thread (maybe it was you, dunno) that they really hated catholics and that their attire was a simplified version of the attire KKK members used in a movie where they were lauded as heroes of purity and american morals, which caused a resurgence of the KKK and people trying to imitate that kind of clothing.

The film was Birth of a Nation by D.W. Griffith and is considered a classic although its problematic content has rather dimmed its star. I actually saw it in a film studies class. Fun fact, it was the first movie played in the White House, by none other than Woodrow Wilson. When the Klan later returned, with little connection to its actual prior history, as a political networking organization backing mostly Southern Democratic candidates, they adopted the uniform used in one of the major scenes of the film.
