He immensely triggered me right there, I'm obsessed with Greco-Roman culture stuff whether it comes to ancient history, late antiquity, middle ages etc, so not to power level or anything but also as a geography nerd, I like to keep track about where all this culture originates from and from what period. Now of course I would know the distinction between Roman Gods and how the romans copied/changed their interpretation of the ancient Greek lore in every conceivable way, but I'm not expecting Dave to be some history connoisseur or anything but you would expect him at the very least in his pig brain to put two and two together and say "Oh hey that kinda seems to be Hercules they're talking about, huhuh, wow dude, I didn't know the spelling was gonna be different".

But no instead he makes it out to seem that the interpretation of his name that's thousands of years old is incorrect and the game developers are fucken stupid idiots who don't know what they're talking about. What an immensely bewildering mouth breather, I almost feel like calling him out in a tweet for one of the most retarded statements he's made in recent memory, but I know he'll turn that around and say something along the lines of "SEE, look at these sick fucks who stalk everything I do dood, they twist and turn my words to make me sound like an idiot, but yet these are a bunch lying scheming bums just waiting to get a rise out of me for anything I say and do!, give me a break man".

It ALMOST pissed me off as much as he did in his Bully playthrough when he did the flag/country matching quiz in two separate playthroughs, I just can't believe that someone who manages to spout some supposed informed expertise and business intellect can make dumb early high school decisions like this.

Two significant events happened both yesterday and today that provided some insight into how Phil thinks of himself and how insecure he is of other’s perception of him:

1. Last night’s SF stream started out slow and awful due to the pig staying in a noob-filled lobby for almost an hour. After racking up his 30 or so wins against complete cans while incessantly spouting his cringeworthy little DSP fighting game-isms, Phil puffed his chest out and went out to dominate other lobbies. As it’s already been mentioned in a few replies prior to mine, the pig was infuriated that he got his shit pushed in by two real good Dhalsim and Ryu players. The important phrase was this one, a rage-filled rant subsequent to his loss against a good Ryu player: “He doesn’t deserve to win this. This guy doesn’t deserve to win a fucking round against me. None of these fucking guys do. I know the match-up perfectly, 100% of the time. None of this shit would ever work offline.” This is really telling and indicates how highly Phil thinks of himself when it comes to SF2T. He genuinely believes he is one of the best players in the world when he is nothing more than a below average player among real pros. His one claim to fame has a huge asterisk next to it and years spent in isolation reinforcing a lie has genuinely made him believe that he’s really good at this game when he has stopped playing fighting games in any competitive capacity. It’s truly pathetic to see an almost 40-year old man throw a tantrum when he loses against better players and feels personally insulted and humiliated.

Phil lost his shit during the night stream due to evilibrium asking if he could create a new emote with Phil’s iconic face captured during “the incident.” The anger, vitriol, frustration, and Phil’s lack of power to do anything to retcon or erase this event from the internet is palpable. On the Farms, we’re all keenly aware of Phil’s pathetic attempts to foray into Twitter clout-chasing events; a stance most likely due to his blue checkmark status which he believes should make him an authority in whatever subject he decides to rear his ugly head into. Unfortunately for our dear piggy, the internet doesn’t work like this and every time Phil ventured out of the Twitter Goutsphere to educate people with his boundless wisdom, he was quickly identified as being The Guy and ridiculed off whatever topic he tried to spout off his asinine views about. You can tell this singular event that has defined Phil’s 12-year legacy is incredibly frustrating to him. On the off-chance he tries to use it to appear as the fun guy who can laugh at himself, his ego simply doesn’t let him be that the joke that he is, out of self-realizing fear that his psyche could break if he were to really understand how much of a complete and utter joke he truly is. Therefore, he is desperate to be relevant in any manner or form to stop being defined as the guy who jacked off on stream. It’s a past he’ll never be able to escape no matter how much he tries to paint himself as a different person. Ultimately, Phil needs to be in control of the narrative at all times and the one event that has defined him is the only one he cannot spin, deny, or retcon because everyone saw what happened and how embarrassing it was.

You know, for a guy who takes himself so seriously and values his own opinions so highly, it’s truly a delight to watch how painful it is for this guy to know that his entire streaming pedigree is immortalized through inadvertently jacking it on stream and that he can do absolutely nothing to ever be detached from such an embarrassing event. See a few days ago Phil made (another) tweet about the incident joking about Trump giving him a pardon for jacking it on stream so it was inevitable Phil would contradict this in every way and get triggered over something he literally made a joke about a few days prior.

It's like he has a different personality depending on which website he is using. Twitter Phil can make a joke, literally only one joke, about being caught masturbating while Twitch Phil never wants anyone to bring it up ever again. he knew that jump with Ryu could beat out Vegas move in the air, and he knew he could hit with another after the first. I mean for fucks sake he knew the timing for his super on wake up to make sure DSP had to block it and get chipped out. He clearly knew wtf he was doing, he even had SRK in his name, he’s probably played more high level SF2 than DSP in the last 10 years.

soemthing that really stuck out to me from Friday’s gameplay though is DSP has a very autistic mindset to fighting games.

he puts a massive emphasis on match ups, and he talks like everyone is playing at high level and are machines that do everything correct.

like he blamed some of his losses on really bad match ups...but the thing is scrubs don’t capitalize on bad match ups, the way he talks he makes it sound like you could hand a 8 year old a controller and they could win because of match ups which obviously isn’t the case

he randomly commented on a match he was watching and said “see right there sagat should’ve been able to uppercut guiles move but the guy couldn’t because of online” like he assumed the guy knew he could uppercut that move, and he assumed the guy couldn’t because of lag. He just assumes for some strange reason that this random guy online would’ve played perfectly without online lag which isn’t ever the case in fighting games, even pros drop combos or fail to react.

The core part of last night's emote rant was when he said "If you don't respect me, maybe you shouldn't be put in a position of power to decide if an emote should be of me or not."

"Position of power". That explains why he hates his tippers who aren't silent whales. Why he leapfrogged the Machinima chain of command and got fired. Why he flaunts Twitch TOS. Why he says he 'gave Midfirst permission' to foreclose. Why he calls critics 'idiots' and 'haters'. Why he has been debasing himself for Twitter clout.

DSP tries to market himself as an underdog but he's really dude who wants to fail alone. He never learned how to interact or negotiate with people who have an upper hand.
