I saw some people upset that Gura didn't get much love from the senpais for her 2 million milestone or karaoke and did some actual research on the claims. Marine showed up in chat for the show and posted in the Gurats2M hashtag. Reine shared a link for it on Twitter. Sora, Botan and Yagoo congratulated her in her short thank you tweet. That's about it.
It doesn't seem like a lot, but I looked at a few other control examples of similar milestones and announcements from JP talents and they really just aren't big fans of congratulating each other on Twitter. You get a comment from Yagoo and one, maybe two other Holos and that's it. Looking at it realistically, they can get in touch with each other through the company or at the very least, Discord, for more personal interaction and congratulating each other in public can have the unintended side effect of schizo fans claiming clout-chasing,
Going off the order of her Twitter list, Calli started following individual VShojo members pretty early on, even before following her waifu, Charlie. Since they've all been on her radar since before VShojo was even a thing, they aren't going to blind-side her with a sudden concerted effort to poke her. I'd speculate that any of the Twitter activity you see on Calli's end is just keeping tabs on the industry and doing some light networking.
That said, VShojo as an organization seems like a loose enough confederacy that their individual members could absolutely have their own really stupid agendas that they're going full steam ahead with:

Most of them are also pretty married to their established characters. I actually don't think a lot of the VShojo gals would really want to make the big transfer. It's possible with Nyanners: it seems like she started cat-girling in the first place to build a resume after not getting into EN Gen 1 and her content was actually pretty tame before she started collabing with the group that would eventually become VShojo. I don't think she would burn all bridges behind her if she did jump ship though, she doesn't seem like that much of an impulsive spaz.

That character would absolutely not come with her, but I can envision plenty of idiots crying about the absolute unfairness if Calli did jump ship. She'd probably end up getting saddled with a cheap knock-off design of Calli whereas I think Karen herself would want to do something fresh and weird. As I said before, she doesn't seem like a hornyposting, dick joke type either and I think the 'freedom' to feel obligated to keep up with the others doing that kind of content by her own free will would be kinda hellish compared to whatever content restrictions and management she deals with now. It's also naive and irresponsible to expect others to just eat the financial and reputational costs of her blowing off a Cover contract. Like I said before though, exceptional, but plausible.

She's a workaholic. We don't have much to go off of regarding personal life beyond that because she doesn't really have one. She's made mention before that even after she stopped with "scythe swinging lessons" (teaching English) she just filled that void with even more work. The woman doesn't know how to relax at all. The reason people like her personality is because she's a self-deprecating millennial and so she tends to appeal to the older crowd who watch vtubers. I think somewhere her full birthdate is mentioned; I can't recall exactly but she's 24 or 25, so right around the younger age of what is considered to be a millennial.
She doesn't need a competent manager (she already has one) but I'm pretty sure the ENMa's are okay with subtle references to past life stuff, so long as it isn't explicitly mentioned. Calli just happens to make the most or has them made for her, like her pulling Craps Devil in Shadowverse (a demon associated with dice, no wonder she'd like that card).
She calls herself that; her username for the longest time was DEMONDICEKaren; sometimes people refer to her as DDK for short. She's also created a backstory regarding her doujin circle (actually just herself with some help) is three people, one of which is Karen, the main performer. Demondice and Calliope Mori are both artist names for Karen, and they tend to be used interchangeably whether speaking about the artist or the person.
And yes, people make the joke about Karen being a Karen all the fucking time. Her entire Persona 3 begging stream was her asking to speak to the manager of Atlus to let her play the fucking game. Even when talking about having to deal with horrible cunts during her time as a waitress for Applebee's people were calling the woman who threw tequila in her face a "Karen," which made it pretty difficult for people in the know to not immediately start making jokes about how that Karen was pissing off a real Karen, or just how she's considered to be "the nicest Karen."
Calli fucking loves 12 year old toilet humor.
Nyanners has the best potential to jump but she'd be immediately recognized and would be more or less Gura 2.0 (or Ame 2.0 considering her style of humor). Nyanners is the one that is the best entertainer and definitely isn't a one-trick pony, so she'd find her niche in hololive pretty easily...but I doubt she'd do something as monumentally stupid as abandoning Vshojo as soon as possible and have someone as vindictive as Silvervale on her ass about it.
If anything she'd turn Demondice into a Vtuber, and the design is unique enough that it could work.
Once again with the assertion that Karen isn't mentally a 12 year old boy. Pretty sure that she would never make a song like Gang Gang Kawaii if she secretly wasn't into that shit.

There's a lot of cali doomposting and every instance there's several posts about cali need a tard wrangler. My point is that a lot seem to think that having a competent manager to be a magical rainbow final solution for the calliope social media problem but the same argument could be said for vshoujo. Being self deprecating is fine and all, if you're into that then all the power to you, but then again, so does the vshoujo and their toilet humor.
Basically, I didn't say she isn't a fit for hololive and vshoujo tier vtuber, but the way she is potrayed in this thread paint her with the same vibe as the vshoujo crowd, and it's a fact she's getting along with them on the surface. The only difference is she is this thread reaper waifu and every time she interact with vshoujo, people forgives her for being "naive and didn't know better about them" while others vtuber has been crucified for less.
As for the karen one, I'll admit it's a pet peeve of mine. I find it weird and creepy personally. She refers to herself as karen but as far as I know the vtuber caliope doesn't. You don't go to a john wick screening and tell keanu you're a big fan of neo anderson, you don't go to polka stream and call her nobuhime either.

Good debut but the bugs in the model almost ruined it for me
- As is tradition there is clipping in her model, the first time you are going to notice it is when she is singing, her sleeves clip with her chest
- Her arms need work, when she wake up from the bed it looks janky as hell same as when she is in front of the mirror
This- Daifuku was also 3D modeled but like his 2D version doesn't do anything except blinking (i know he sometimes talk in the chat)

The doomposting is mostly a meme because nobody here exactly thinks that she's done anything monumentally stupid or that Calli's manager is incompetent. Hell, Coco did far worse by accidentally showing off the Asacoco background assets on her Kson account. All Calli does is "wink wink nudge nudge" but she does it so fucking frequently that it becomes a joke. The only true yabai moments she's had is when she accidentally called herself Karen (twice) but even those were covered up pretty quickly.
The reason she gets forgiven so much is because of how monumentally stupid she is when it comes to social media and it isn't really a case of "she should know better" because this is really the first time she's ever been exposed to such a large audience to begin with, with most of her interactions being offline with other music creators. Kiara had a very public meltdown as Keekihime, Ina basically has no Internet presence aside from her posting art, and Gura/Ame know a lot about keeping their social media accounts clean. Calli is prone to oversharing just a bit but even then it's nothing to get upset about, we just like making fun of her for being a dumbass from time to time.
The Vshojo thing...to be fair, very few people know a lot about them. They're very good at keeping their public images proper. Some vtuber friends of mine inironically like people like Zen and I don't really have the heart to tell them that Zen's is actually a dude and also kind of a shitty person; I just let them live in their fantasy. As it was stated earlier, the real forbidden knowledge is knowing the true nature of the Vshojo performers.
I don't know who else makes the distinction but I'll reiterate again: Referring to Calli is referring to the streamer/streams. Demondice is referring to the music produced under that name. Karen, the woman who is behind both of these personas, is used when discussing some of the finer points of her personal life such as her upbringing or whatever details were in that podcast I linked earlier. You can talk about how cool John Wick is and then in the same breath say that Keanu is an amazing actor for his portrayal of that character.

Gura is absolutely a competent singer, but she has the distinct disavtantage of not being professionally-trained like AZKi, Suisei, and actually all of the JP girls. Obviously some are still better than others, but everyone on JP side is at least okay at singing. Gura is better than a handful of them already, and with her ability to hold notes and what appears to be her natural ability to pronounce Japanese phonetics without knowing the language, she could definitely be a vocal juggernaut if afforded the same opportunities as the JP girls.
Oh, and yes, Nayuta is indeed AZKi's other self. She's very accomplished, and why she is without a doubt Hololive's best singer.

So, we all remember Pekora's sudden closure of her stream the other day, after she was muted for like three minutes and came back in tears? Apparently she's currently (or was a little bit ago) having a member-only stream explaining what happened. Apparently she wanted to do it member-only because she doesn't want it clipped and getting spread like wildfire (but it will get spread regardless of clips so whatever).
So obviously the narratives are a'spinning, and I disregard all of them. Except one. This "Kuu." guy is an actual member of Pekora's "mod team," apparently he handles her membership posts, as you can read in his Twitter bio if you go look. Nousagis seem to give him the time of day so he definitely is, he's not some schitz LARPing. and this is what he had to say (Google translated obviously but you can get the point)
he reiterated that no one should clip her explanation and he even says that he himself is "very frustrated" by the story she's telling about what happened. Also, further down he responds to someone, talking about how he's upset that Hololive has "bad managerial habits that have not changed," so this is all very....interesting. Keeping an eye on it.

For all those who could care, vtuber Sephira Su just had her last stream today.
This is coming as a result of the fortune teller service she was employed by closing this past summer. She has, in the run-up to this stream and in the stream itself said that she is not retiring for good and will be back. Honestly kinda sad given how well her model was animated, the effort she put into her streams, and her character design by illustrator Saine (who also illustrated Suzuhara Lulu and Kamishiro Kurea, who were collectively known as the Saine sisters and collaborated together on occasion).
Edit: She has also uploaded her first (and now only) original song on her channel called "Smiley Birthday". I believe she said that by the end of January, all her media accounts will be wiped clean, so save while you can if interested.
Given that NijiFest is coming at the end of February this year, I'm thinking that we might see the appearance of her roommate some time around that event. It wouldn't surprise me if Nijisanji uses the festival as an opportunity to debut their first new JP talents of 2021. Might even hear some news about the upcoming EN branch by that point as well. Shame that with lockdowns coming back into effect in Japan that the entire thing is going to be online this year.

All of the ENgirls have a history of lurking 4chan at the very least. Keeki has a post history on /lolcow/ detailing how JRCach harrassed her out of the idol industry, and I think she was in /cgl/ for a while (which is why that board has a blood vendetta against her). Karen had that famous twitter post accurately describing 4chan (den of autistic manchildren where you can occasionally have a good conversation). Senzawa is self explanatory. And with Ina and Amelia's sense of humor being the way the are, I refuse to consider they weren't regular chan posters back in their youth.
At this point, the only ones we really have enough evidence to say they still regularly troll the chans and other 'naughty' places would be Kiara and Amelia. Kiara is obvious, she would comment on stuff in her Superchat Reading/Zatsudons that were only really seen around 4/5chan (Subaru stalker followed Kiara to her apartment because Gaijin as an example). She'd also refer to them as "narratives" as well. And Amelia puts enough references in her streams too that "She's Here!" cries don't seem like too much of a meme anymore. Mainly just to fuck with the Teamates, really.

Considering she's apparently burned bridges to jump on trends before (apparently trying to follow "woke" trends for a while), I doubt that would stop her. Her singing is legitimately not bad, I really think if she used a normal/lower voice and toned down the horny she would be a decent candidate.
