We had a short convo about books and movies and a little more in-depth convo about Freud, behaviorism and some philosophical concepts of reality and based on those I'm sure she doesn't have intellectual deficit and indeed can engage in an interesting conversation. My describing it as a zone was for the purposes of analogy as compared to a shifting of brain state which would be more applicable to something like manic depressive disorder.
