I think good money is relative. Chantal probably makes enough money for her to be comfortable in her current living situation, especially if she's not filing any taxes on the stuff she earns from YT (tho that's just conjecture).

She is a simple person with a simple life. Her expenses are probably rent (split with Peetz), car insurance, a low car payment since she drives a cheap car (which is probably smart), her cellphone bill (and who knows, she could be on a family plan) and what internet? And it's possible they're getting a credit back from Peetz' work as he uses the internet for work.

Beyond eating, what else does she do? Okay, she'll buy shitty things and likely spends a good chunk of her income on that. But it's not like she has kids to raise or house taxes or even a mortgage that likely is higher than what she pays a month for her staircase chateau. She also likely isn't putting anything away for retirement (is she even paying into Canada's social security-like retirement program?). I doubt she has a 401K. And no pension.

I know! I know! Chantal at retirement age seems unfathomable right now but some of these death fats are fucking roaches.

But imagine if (big if) Chantal lives another ten years...I doubt the YT gravy train is going to be as good as it is now as it seems even less sustainable than it did a year ago for her. No Bibi to fall back on.

She better hope she dies soon because girl is fucked if she somehow makes it to her mid-40s.

With all the speculation surrounding her flippant "I make 1k" comment, I found a YouTube Money Calculator website and threw a few of her videos into it to get an idea of what she makes off each.

Her Christmas lights drive and/or her FatFabFitFun videos, the two lowest in views in the past 2 months, came in at 15k views each for a total of $28 per video.

Her average video views, like the 'Happy Holidays to my Viewers' and the infamous 'Korean Mozza Rice Dogs', come in at 33k views = $61 per vid and 38k = $70, respectively.

Her 'Indian Food Mukbang' video as mentioned above was her highest viewed in the past month at 50k views, which nets $94, and her highest in the past four months is her PUPPEYES video at 62k, earning an estimated $116.

Since November 26th, she's put out 27 videos (that she didn't erase off the face of her channel-earth, anyway), divided by 2 months averages 13.5 videos per month (we'll round down to 13 for arguments sake). If you assume every single one of these videos hits 33k, which they do not, that's roughly $793/mo. Even at a consistent 38k for 13 videos every month, she's making 90 bucks under $1k.

Chantal lies, so who really knows, but her flippant comment (admission?) may have been the most honest thing that's dribbled out of her butter hole in a long time.

Regarding all the income sperging, back in the I believe Charlie Coal era (not long after) when she was still angry about everything she defiantly told us that she "makes pretty good money". $1k/m is not pretty good money. It's poverty level money. Even splitting the rent and hydro etc evenly she couldn't afford those bills and all her food plus the Amazon purchases.

She grocery shops like someone who doesn't have to worry about the cost of things. She buys expensive name brands, doesn't shop flyer sales and thinks almost $5 for the cheese was a good deal and expected less for that amount of money.

Whether she was being sarcastic or serious, she somehow manages to make more than $1k/m. Even if Peetz earned over minimum wage with his call center job he probably doesn't clear more than $2.2k/m and has tweeted that his roommate makes more than him doing her mukbangs.
