You can take the religion out of the people, but you can't take away people being spiritual.
The same people who luv da science won't let ANYONE do any empirical research on anything they consider sacred. Race. Sex. (There is no such thing as Gender.) Hell, if they ever get into power enough, they'll do the same thing to economics. "It's settled science that socialism is the only effective means of running an economy."
And, having got the "answers" they hold to be true, will talk down at you for hating science if you dare disagree with their cult.

These people are just so dense, they are so completely brainwashed, that they couldn't even entertain the thought that they have been brainwashed since childhood, to believe that reality is exactly what they believe it to be.
Oh and what I absolutely love/loath, is that these videos are made in a way that they sound absolutely sane, as though there is no other side to the story. These are facts mate, no two ways about it, don't go talking to anyone else, they'll have an answer for everything.
Sounds exactly like what a chick I used to know said, when she was telling me about her 'born again christian' family pastor. He said that to her about making friends with anyone that wasn't, 'They can spout the bible back at you, don't even try to be friends with them.' We weren't friends for very long.

As an atheist myself, I completey agree with you. They claim they love science, yet they'll reject it when it conflicts with their ideology. I've pointed this out before, but they only direct their ire at white conservative Christians. They will never be caught dead telling a Muslim, Jew, Wiccan, Buddhist, or any kind of pagan or animist their faith is wrong. Same goes for black churches, Latino/Ladino Catholics, or any other minority or immigrant Christians: It's okay if they're Christian fundamentalists because they're not white!
They don't want truth, but more dogma. Their kind of dogma.

You know why Europe is multicultural and work? Because those cultures have very similar values and cohesion to work together. They blend together pretty well because all countries in Europe have a common history and heritage. But do not expect this to work with cultures that are very different from others because that will lead to conflict. Don't expect Middle easterns or Asians to bode terribly well with Europeans. They will appreciate and discuss cultural differences, but everyone will be always a stranger to each other.
