Circling back to the holo name origins. This is what I've gathered and figured out on my own:

Hoshinova = star + new
Pavolia Reine = peacock (or peafowl as she calls it) + queen
Amane Kanata = something about heaven and beyond
Tsunomaki = rolled horn (tsuno is horn, maki is curved/rolled--yes, like the "sushi")
Shirokami Fubuki = white god + blizzard (her sister is Kurokami = black god)
Nekomata Okayu = a myhtical cat creature + rice porridge (which I think is a play on her comfy-ness)
Inugami Korone = dog god + coronet (which is a pastry; Korone's original lore was that she worked at a bakery lol. I think I remember back in the day Okayu mentioned "back when Korone worked at a bakery" meaning past life)
Kiryu = the protag of most of the Yakuza series
Akai Haato = red heart
Roboco = robot girl
Airani Iofifteen = this one is a stretch but I think it's a play on Area 51 and her alien lore?
Tokoyami = infinite darkness

alot of the names just play on their colors:
Murasaki is a purple flower I believe,
Shirogane is silver EDIT2: white steel. silver is gin h/t @Cubanodun

some of them just seem to fit a vibe: Rosenthal is a Germanic name and plays into her Ren faire/fantasy stuff she's into; wouldn't be surprised if she just like how it sounded. Luna has moons in her eyes.

overall, it seems they take influence from whatever and wherever and I'm sure they consider the talent's personality and input to develop the character and lore. gotta admit, they're all pretty clever easter eggs

Really depends on what they're planning on playing or doing since outside of Minecraft I don't know of a lot of games Mel plays. I kind of hope it's not another Clubhouse Games stream.

I do wonder how Ame's going to prepare for it since it's at 5AM in the morning, which even for her I think is pretty late/early.

Edit: Ame just said it's going to be Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, nice. And they're allowed to play Nier: Automata (Hopefully other Platinum Games games too) now

I saw a little of her playing Mother 3 right at the start of the monkey's gameplay. I can still remember her relaxed amusement when they monkey got zapped.

They really are a great pair. Despite the language barrier, you can tell they have a really natural rhythm and flow to their conversations together.

Can't really confim his accuracy, but I've found that translators who are really up their own asses tend to be the type who will translate, "Onii-san, konbanwa!" as some trash like "Yo, what's happening, Brosef?"

I'm excited for it since I really like them both, but it's a really strange pairing from out of the blue. They'll probably play Apex which I'm not crazy about, but I enjoy watching Holos play it in small doses. If Ame could play more regularly with senpais and they had some goals, I might be able to get into it more.

Heh, just kidding, she's gonna get Ame into Ark. Get ready for solid blocks of Ark on Ame's channel, suckers! Nevermind, it's the bomb game. Beats Clubhouse 51 though.

Gura says she wants a 3DO. Sadly, she is talking about some sort of ASMR microphone, rather than the old game console.

She's also talked about how she's taking baking classes / apprenticeship while not streaming and she wants to be a full-time baker if she ever graduates. So seems to be more than just 'lore' and something she legitimately did before Hololive.
