Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

If you ever needed further proof that Favreau still has no intent to deviate from the sequels/nucanon...

Also according @Itchy Bacca...
1: r/saltierthancrait, the former most active subreddit for shitting on Disney, hammered down the rules so hard at this point that you can't even shit on Disney anymore, which begs to question as to what you're even supposed to do on there. Comes as no surprise to me after they limited memes and practically banned them during IX's release alongside spoilers. Never change Reddit... Or do. Hopefully r/wsb makes you all grow some balls. (:optimistic:)

2: Itchy found another High Republic image containing info on the "Phase 1 timeline" of High Republic, of all the crap they initially had planned for 2020. Imagine all of that shit in just a few months if Corona had let them have their way.

Just think what Phase 2 will look like.

3: Disney drones tried to shut his blog down.

4: The family of that Geeks and Gamers guy is getting harassed. The guy is a closet shill who is mostly just bashing Disney for fame and attention, but nobody deserves to have their family harassed and insulted over something so petty when they have zero involvement in any of this SW drama.
I can't wait to see what happens when Columbine Ren runs across Baby Grogu.

Though knowing Disney, they'll probably say that Grogu wasn't there or he was taken from there so he can start the new Jedi Order with Palpatine's offspring.

That, or they'd let him die so as to knock Luke and show how he's an incompetent ninny all along.

Columbine Ren never happened since Disney released some gay comic where Kylo Ren dindu nuffin and it was just Palpatine sending down a random lightning bolt that ended up destroying the academy and killing Luke's students. The surviving three students just blamed Emo Ren for no reason. Chances are Disney will just have Favreau give Baby Yoda back for more merchandising opportunities despite that its a nonsensical reunion since the kid needs to be with another long lived alien or a jedi order that will look after him for generations what with Filoni warping aging for Yoda's species.

I can see them being insidious enough to make The Mandalorian just a long con for further character deconstruction of Luke.
Pretty much. I can already see them trying to "redeem" Rian's hermit Luke and nufans will eat it up by saying "oh wow now it makes perfect sense", which will be used as a setup to give Baby Yeed back to the Mando. Also according to some Disney site, Mando season 3 won't begin shooting until April 5, likely so as to have Book of Boba Fett unchallenged for December as it takes over Mandalorian's slot while Mando is moved to 2022 or 2023.

I only see four projects there.

Del Rey 1 - "Light of the Jedi" by Charles Soule
MG 1 - "A Test of Courage" by Justina Ireland
Marvel - The High Republic comics written by Cavan Scott
YA 1 - "Into the Dark" by Claudia Gray

The timeline just looks like a clusterfuck because they've listed which characters appear in each one.

So, are there any YouTube channels that aren't grifters and/or Soy-guzzlers? I want quality* SW content, I'll even take YouTube channels at this point, though that might be an oxymoron.

*Quality = Not total shit or embarassing to watch.
Good luck finding that, pal. Most are either grifting on the anti-Disney platform or shilling for Disney SW. You'll have better luck seeking out and enjoying SW books and games yourself.

I figured it was a long shot. Oh well, good advice nonetheless.
Rule number one when it comes to Youtube personalities: trust no one. I've seen people I admired on that website jump off the deep end and go nuts. Don't trust the Fandom Menace folks, don't trust the Disney shills, investigate every lead yourself and judge things with your own two eyes.

Corey Loses and his lore channel Corey's Datapad are decent. He's the developer of the Thrawn's Revenge mod for EaW, which is a giant love letter for the post Endor EU. Most of his videos on Corey Loses are updates to the mod and preview playthroughs, while Corey's Datapad covers both the EU and nucanon fairly well. Just avoid most of his crossover videos and you'll be pretty good.

Here's a post I made to a similar question a few weeks ago about potential SW youtubers. Hope it helps.

In terms of Behind the Scenes/concept stuff, Generation Tech is usually the most recommended channel I see and he also does a lot of lore videos and generally informative stuff and news, only problem is he sometimes mixes lore and info from both Disney and pre-Disney (although that's a problem for a lot of SW channels with the exception of The Lore Master who actually bothers to keep them in separate videos, so if you want give him a shot too). Generation Tech is also not one to blindly shill as he has criticized elements from TFA, TLJ, Filoni Wars, Aladdin's Rebels, the prequels and the new Squadrons; not full blown bashing, but it shows that unlike others that he's willing to acknowledge their shortcomings and failures. Despite this, I don't really subscribe to him because of the obvious lore mixing and the fact that most of his videos cover what's trending at a certain time.

The Lore Master is just a lore channel, so news and reviews are rare from him. He's pretty straightforward, although sometimes it feels like he's just reading wookieepedo articles (which are dubious most of the time) when its not related to comics or games, but regardless he's one of the few who doesn't mix canons or make up his own headcanon to compromise things. He does occasionally get a bit shilly though. I don't subscribe to him much either because of what just feels like Wookieepedo copypastes, unless its from comics or games. He also does what-if videos iirc.

The only lore channel I subscribe to is Manda-Lore who probably does the most informative and well-researched SW lore videos that are not just taken from wookieepedo which are more than just random pictures while someone talks in the background since he also adds neat little visual and sound effects at times. He also doesn't mix lore and mainly focuses on pre-Disney stuff. Despite his name, he does lore videos about any SW subject, not just Mandalorians. His only problem is that he hardly ever uploads, only making 3 or 5 videos a month at best.

The Scoundrel's Cantina is also a popular choice. He's very friendly, covers a wide range of subjects and he's more open to criticizing Disney than the others, but he tends to mix lore from both a lot and he does some lego videos which really turn me off.

Ryan Kinel used to do lore and news videos, but now he just focuses on news which is pretty disappointing, but regardless I prefer his news coverage to others since he doesn't beat around the bush most of the time, points out that certain rumors like the Lucasfilm feud or Filoni "fighting for SW" or Kennedy sabotaging Favreau are probably bullshit while other news channels believe it and he's the only one I know to criticize Filoni and Filoni Wars.

Even a fucking Jawa simulator would be a more engaging experience at this point... Despite their exclusivity with EA, Disney-Lucasfilm did make a few of their own games via ILMxLAB, although all of them were just mediocre VR games, some of which aren't even that well known, like some shit called Jakku Spy and a Porg simulator for whatever hellish reason. So yeah, they had their own VR shit with plenty of potential for at least some short simulator games, and they just focused on the most crap and dull ideas possible. Only noteworthy title they made was a Vader VR game but that ended up going nowhere storywise, yet was still nominated for an Emmy for some reason. Despite the name, you don't even get to play as Vader in that shit. Just as some Disney OC who is a descendant of "the famous Lady Corvax" who is a literal who that was invented for the game.

Also this look at him and laugh.jpg

The crossover stuff is something I see more often than needed even among non-Disney channels.

A Jawa simulator could be fun though and probably would sell well. It'd be one part exploration game (to find parts) and one part Machine Building Simulator (think PC Building Simulator, but with a larger variety of machines) that you then sell to people. That'd be a lot better than a bootleg of a game that's decades old at this point.

Thought of the Day: Jawas are basically used car salesmen.

Thought of the Day 2: Copying the worst aspects of a series out of spite is like stabbing yourself in the kidneys because you don't like peeing.

This High Republic drama just keeps escalating.

Also ClownFish compiled most of the recent drama and the attempts by Disney drones to not only get Gina fired but to get @Itchy Bacca and several others deplatformed.
Yes I'm aware Geeky's voice is grating, so just hover over the video's bar to find the articles they mention in case you want to read them in full. This whole thing is insane.

Could also offer combat/koth by having Jawas defend against Tusken Raider and Krayt dragon attacks on the sandcrawler or a jawa fort.

Yes.

Its all Disney knows. They nuke the shit out of the franchise and its history then repeat all the mistakes of the past without learning from them and them amplify their repelling effects tenfold.

I think there's at least one "hunt" level on Mos Eisley in the classic Battlefront 2 where you play as Jawas and you defend the town from Tusken Raiders. That's as close to a Jawa simulator we've got for now.

In the map editor of Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, you can make your army be nothing but Jawas.
