Less if you are related to a politician, more if there are compounding factors (like prior convictions). I would be shocked if he actually did time. However, if he chimps out on the judge like he does here, all bets are off. If his case has merit and is bounced up to the county court, that courtroom will be open to the public. But lets humor you and assume there are cameras mounted facing the tracks. They'd have to be x-ray vision cameras because according to my sources, you were on the other side of the train.
