Not sure if serious or confusing terms. Biden has been talking about Equity. That is everything is shared out between everone evenly. We're talking about Equality. That is everyone gets the same opportunities and plays by the same rules.

I don't think in any realistic way the two things are compatible - people have different abilities, different work ethics, different ambitions and goals. I think the only way you could bring about equity is through treating people very unequally.

I could see the Dem establishment throwing Melvin under the bus in public, while using the incident to push more regulation that benefits their buddies while acting like progressive heroes. I don't get why people think the calls of antisemitism mean Jews rule the world. It's the most classic neoliberal deflection in the fucking world: Lip service to social issues in order to pander to dumb suburban liberals.
