You know what pre-collapse society America really has a lot in common with?

The Ancien Regime. A decadent society unable to contend with the problems of the modern world because it was stuck so far up its own ass they could see what they ate for breakfast. A society coasting on the success of its predecessors while it slowly slips into decline even as it celebrated its own ascendancy through territorial gains. An elitist nation with its own insular and narcissistic cultures and rivalries to which all matters of state are subservient. A bloated outdated and ineffective bureaucracy that struggles to assert its waning authority as regular social order gradually unravels.

This is America, Everything is fine, and will continue to be so because we are god's favored people! How could it possibly be any other way?!?!?!

In all honesty, the Elites aren't that dumb, but they're nowhere near that smart. They're nowhere near intelligent enough to engage in some kind of 4d chess plan that some of you guys are suggesting. Not to mention the Elites actually aren't that united, and actually really fucking hate each other.

Tl;dr: Covid lockdowns weren't put in place to purposefully kill retail and the middle class. Jesus fucking christ, take your fucking meds, and calm your asses down.

I don't think that's what is being suggested. Rather it's an angle realized due to the lockdowns. I'm not one to believe in some shadowy cabal controlling everything, either. That's too simple. But to individuals who make money from virtually nothing, this is a perfect opportunity. Cynical exploitation is what they're all about. Exploiting a glitch.

What if WSB has unintentionally uncovered part of a major operation--be it a conspiracy by a rich cabal or simply a serendipitous collusion by those with similar goals--by certain people and that's the reason the vultures are reacting like this even now?

These bastards aren't just being opportunistic and greedy here--they are all, for their own various ends, actively trying to destroy.

Allow me to play Devil's Advocate here, and hear me out.

The Elites aren't that smart to ensure it would work without a hitch and have a contingency for every possible scenario, but the bigwigs are definitely arrogant enough to try implementing this corporate feudalism outlined by the Great Reset/Fourth Industrial Revolution since the pandemic gave them an opportunity.

See, I could definitely see some of the more savvy ones like Klaus Schwab, Bloomberg, or Bill Gates trying to plan this out and making sure to neutralize potential opposition while also capitalizing on the crisis that arose from COVID-19, only to not think far enough ahead and have their plans ruined by the most unexpected and ridiculous of things.

COVID-19 was a black swan pandemic and I could definitely see the corporate elites capitalizing on the opportunity it presented and then push their luck further with things like the BLM riots and tying up any efforts at decent relief as the lockdowns continued.

Before Covid got bad enough, I think the DNC's plan was to take out Bernie and run Biden as a burner candidate since he'd do the least damage downballot if he lost and then prep for 2022 and 2024 with Kamala. Then the pandemic gave them a golden ticket opportunity and they wouldn't let it go to waste.

I wouldn't put it past Wall Street seeking to further capitalize on the demise of small businesses and brick and mortar retailers for their own ends. Even if there's no conspiracy or concerted effort, Wall Street is full of greedy corporatist jackals.

TLDR - The lockdowns were meant to serve their stated purpose at first and then enough bigwigs started seeing how they could be used to achieve the corporate elites' own personal end goals.

The "4D chess" conspiracy theory assumes this was all proactive but the "opportunistic jackals trying to get more rich and powerful" and the elites being reactive is a lot more in line with human behavior over the past several decades
