So let me walk you through this... real slow so you can understand.

1) Same Sex Marriage was granted by the Supreme Court
2) You think the President has enough influence to overturn a Supreme Court Ruling
3) This would require a Law or an Act, as the President cannot make his/her own ruling about something.
4) This means, obviously through logic, that you believe that if a Republican is the next President, they will somehow create a law/act that nulls a Supreme Court Ruling...which is impossible.
5) You also think that States will somehow be able to say "No" to this Ruling....do you not understand how the Federal Government is higher in the chain of command than a State Government, and thus, if a State Government tries to DENY same sex marriage..they're in for some hard times?

If I'm wrong, how else did you think a President was going to make the Same Sex Marriage Ruling go away? Better yet, how do you think a State Government can say just....not do same sex marriages?
