Honestly, she probably had to due to management reasons. . . It's nice to a lot of us, but it is a sore spot that needs to be laid to rest a bit. The costume, if it truly was inspired by Aloe's outfit, is a nicer and more subtle nod. If you know, you know. If you don't, then it's some kind of cool (if not bitter) background, but it won't slap you in the face.

Kiara is not a hardcore JPRG players, if people believe for a second that Atelier ryza or Fire emblem is super hard, let me tell you, it is not, is like saying Neptunia is hard when there is absolutely no deep in the mechanics, Xenogears is also technically not hard but very grindy, specially at the start that the game let you breeze very easily until you hit the palace of the desert town

Atelier doesn't look difficult but I'm gonna have to disagree on Fire Emblem there with ya, at least in regards to the old games. The games only really started getting easier with Awakening. Fates Conquest was legitimately difficult to the point where I had to turn down the difficulty to get past a bullshit mission where you first get Camilla and her retainers, but other than that...yeah. The games' standard difficulty is pretty damn easy and even Hard Mode on Three Houses was easy enough. Kiara seems to be one to play JRPGs for the story first and the gameplay second.

She would flounder with SMT while I would still love Calli to exercise her JRPG chops a bit since Persona 3 is not an easy game either.

Also someone reminded me that they already had Square permits but apparently all Hololive forgot about it, because Kanata actually played Chrono Trigger, wonder if now that they have Nintendo AND Square enix permits someone is going to dive into Super Mario RPG

Regarding Xenogears (big spoilers):
in this game humans were created by an advanced artificial being as a measure to repair itself after crashing on an alien planet. In order to control the society (which has collapsed a couple of times before already) an institution resembling catholic church (named Ethos) has been estabilished. Part of their teachings is evolution, while some rogue scientists have some evidence pointing to creationism...
Anyway: at some point of the game the main characters - including Billy - discover the corruption of Ethos, which includes, among others, abusing children. Nothing explicit is shown though.


Articles about Xenogears CD2's sorry state point to Tetsuya Takahashi's poor planning (i.e. his ideas expanded beyond the given budget) and it seems the new publisher expected new Final Fantasy cash cow with Xenosaga and didn't get it, but enough me sperging about it.

My point is: there are some games easy to letsplay as vtuber: horror games, flashy games, games where the player can die a lot - plenty of things to react to and scream about, drop some comments etc. without spending much time on explanations, reading the dialogues etc.
Other games require slower approach and some knowledge to have something to talk about when playing - these can be great and informative streams, but for smaller audience, willing to focus on the stream and not to have it only as a background noise. I consider Deus Ex and Xenogears as such games.

Pekora and Roberu have both streamed Xenoblade and Roberu has streamed Xenoblade 2. They are very good zoning out games even if they're long as fuck. Not exactly good moment to moment streaming fodder but they do have some standout scenes.

Funnily enough one of the first games I streamed was the original Deus Ex and I have that same opinion. That game is slow as molasses at times but the story is compelling enough that you don't mind taking your time to get to those beats.

Memes went to shit after they went with copyright-free materials and exclusively-Hololive memes. If they include other memes that are not necessarily Hololive-related it'll be funnier.

That's Coco's restriction, not necessarily Reddit's. She just needs to curate better and I'm assuming she runs stuff through her manager.

I have absolutely no tolerance for people who can’t do basic audio control. I used to produce a podcast and spent dozens of hours studying, testing, and editing to get the audio where I wanted it because I took pride in having the best audio quality I could.

And I was averaging somewhere between 100 and 500 listeners. If you’re broadcasting to thousands, you should be doing at least that much.

Proper audio balancing is difficult, it requires alt-tabbing or listening to a local recording so you don't sound like shit, or having people tell you what's wrong. You can't be bothered to do that if you're a lazy as fuck vtuber!

Audio may be a nightmare to handle but once you have workable presets you start to figure things out much quicker unless it's a serious issue. I've had to walk some friends through audio setup despite not knowing much about it myself and only really just making minor tweaks to my own stuff from time to time.

So, from what I gathered from /vt/ last night, she DFE'd her entire YouTube channel, then rebranded everything under a new vtuber identity, Nerine. She apparently throws shitfits if you call her by her old identity, even though she made absolutely no effort to delete her former channel and instead just rebranded it, thereby making it as easy as it could be for people to make the connection. She also copyright takedowns anyone uploading her old works, but that hasn't stopped some folks from having backup archives of her videos anyway.

She is currently depressed, miserable, has little social contact with anyone, and is debatably a NEET shut-in (saw some speculation saying she works as a florist, but the job apparently doesn't require her to leave her home whatsoever).

Man that's depressing. I know she tarded out over the racist Wakka thing and people mentioning her old channel but I genuenly hope she gets in a better place mentally in the future. I miss her Draken and Nier videos and the collabs with Clemps.

Also it's been a few hours since Hajime's debut and my Youtube front page has been filled with clips from her. Holy shit she's even more one note than fucking Artemis and Zentraya. To make up for my prior mess up, supposedly there are people saying that Coco originally planned to apply for a staff position but due to her background in content creation was asked to become a talent instead. And that she was part of the original interviewing/audition process (this sounds vaguely familiar).

However, the guy didn't have any sources for this. I doubt either Coco or Kson would be able to talk about this openly without potentially getting into trouble.

But, if there is a hint of truth to it then it definitely would lean into Coco being Enma.

That was me, I don't have any hard proof for it but I just heard it from a couple people who have been hardcore Kson fans since she first started her online career and figured they'd know. I don't claim it to be true though (could dig into it and probably find out but it's not that important), but it would make sense, since her previous job was at SEGA, also for promotions and public relation. Translation services are sorta in the same vein.

SMT games (I do not include Persona games) require to compose a versatile team and change your strategy for every boss and every new area, and you learn this by being beaten into a pulp and then adapting. Story bits usually play after beating a dungeon. Not exactly a top-of-the-game vtuber material.

I think Xenoblade games are way better vtuber material - beautiful locations to explore, simple to follow story, flashy attacks and so on. I saw fragments of Pekora's fight with Lorithia and she managed to beat her while being 2 levels below, and for many people (including me) this fight is pain peko.
