Yep, I was one of them. The ongoing feminization of Ollie since Nyk was just too obvious. But I was actually joking. Sure, I thought that it could be possible because it appeared so obvious. But as any gay man I'm inclined to overexaggerate things I'm seeing. So it was still a surprise that Olli actually trooned out, even though I should have trusted my intuitions. This was my half-joking prediction:

Furthermore Ollie looks more feminine as a man than Nyk did as a man. I assume that Ollie might look "better" (read: more effiminate) as a troon than Nyk does. Do you think this won't cause any tensions between those two? I bet Nyk and Ollie will stir up some internet drama because they want to out troon each other. On a more serious note, about Oliver's transition, not only do I think it's a Nyk-induced adult ROGD cluster outbreak (even after the break-up with Nyk he's been hanging out with nothing but trannies, so it's the classic case of GAMP turning into AGP), I suspect Oliver's out-of-the-blue decision to transition has more than partially to do with this:
I think this is why he was starting to lose his mind during the lockdown and decided to slowly increasingly feminize. Oliver has said repeatedly during Livestreams that he views Youtube as a job and that his real interest and passion is becoming a stage actor, not an e-celeb. When he was involved with IRL theatre, he had a regular distraction from the internet. Unlike Nyk who spends his whole life online immerse in online TRA culture, Oliver had to attend screentests, he had to memorize screenplays, he had go to the gym to stay fit as an actor, when he got the part he had to rehearse (ie, he regularly came into contact with people who had nothing whatsoever to do with online SJW TRA culture), he had to perform onstage, he was involvede in all these IRL activities that took him away from the internet. All those "distractions", which anchored him IRL are gone now with the pandemic. He can't go on stage right now because they have a hard lockdown in the UK (due to that new strain of Covid-19 that is more contagious), so he's slowly going crazy because he's losing performance skills that he's going to have to build up after the pandemic, and the theatre scene will be a completely different scene by then. Companies, theatres, God forbid even actors, will be gone and funding will be tight, because culture is never a priority when it comes to rebuilding a wrecked economy. Oliver knows this, and to him it must be like watching his dream of being a stage actor being taken away from him, so he's reduced to being a Youtuber, what to him was his "day job". The trooning out/feminizing is part of his resignation to his fate.
I have to wonder how I ever got that reputation here on KF... there are TERFs and other trannie-hunters here on KF who know immensely more about TRAs than I do. All I did (many years ago) was notice these two sides (TRAs and TERFs) arguing in the social media, wondered what that was all about and took it from there. When it comes to my supposedly encyclopaedic knowledge of online trannies, I swear, all I ever did was read Mandy's tweets on Twitter for a KF post because I thought it would be lulzy...
No, trannies won the culture war because they have money and institutional clout, which goes hand in hand. When your bullshit is backed by a large powerful industry such as the pharmaco-medical establishment, it's very hard for people to say no to your bullshit. It's very hard for lay people to say no to a doctor or someone who appears to be backed by doctors, because doctors enjoy an almost God-like status in society. If a whole bunch of doctors say that trooning is good and great, how the fuck are you going to say no to that as a lay person and not look like an idiot? That has nothing to do with optics, it has to do with institutional authority enshrined in law. Also, the TRAs staunchest critics, TERFs, do not have that type of financial or institutional backing, and they themselves admit as such: "We don't have the money that the pharma lobby has. We have no direct access to government without money."
No, because there is no way you can win the culture war when you're an over-the-hill middle-aged Karen trying to knock some sense into dumbass teenagers who think HRT is the new hip party drug. The way to win the culture war is for TERFs to go to rich TERF-adjacent people like JK Rowling and demand that they actually invest money in the TERF movement instead of just appropriating the plight of TERFs to sell books. The reason why TRAs target JK Rowling is not just because she's a prominent VIP but because TRAs fear she might actually sink some serious money into the TERF movement and lift them out the marginal position they are in. I personally would not be at all surprised if JK Rowling has already been donating anon to all kinds of TERF causes. THAT's what they really fear and that's why millionaire TRA Youtuber Nyk decided to join the frenzy.

Yes, that's it. It's of course possible to win a culture war without institutional backup. For example the first wave of feminism and the original gay movement didn't have any institutional backup. Gay people were even shunned by leftist movements, until homosexual was accepted enough in society. Then leftists suddenly started to love the gays and even pretend now that gay rights have been brought by the leftist movement (which isn't true). Institutional backup, of course, is the easiest and most artificial way to cause change in society. Whereas the first wave of feminism and gay movement were caused by the transition from an agricultural society to a industrial society, the troon movement, BLM, queer movement and modern feminism are all paid by many different institutions, privat and public. TERFS have no institutional backup. Companis shun them, universities are all pro-troonerism and the media today is the bullhorn of academia. So they have no chance to win this fight, unless they organize and actually plan orgnaizations that counter the troon narrative. But let's not forget that we're talking about TERFS, they're still feminists and a product of our time. So what will they do? Nothing of course. Feminists can only complain and expect society to cater to them. In that case Terves aren't different from troon feminists.
