General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

If this guys can produce content with their cheap models i dont see why this vtweeter cant

See the problem is, outside of the avatar, these people seem to have personality. Which is something TBA Vtubers can't buy with any amount of money, and they know that. So why not ride the wave until the inevitable end.

Like half the time I have chat covering up whoever I'm watching's avatar in full screen anyway. Because they're just entertaining to watch or listen to.

I mean, they don't have a company to back them you know, how will they afford the toaster and the water bill?
remind me of this

What even is the end goal of your average Vtweeter? Bigger follower count so they might have a larger group to siphon patreon/ko-fi bucks from? A group to shitpost and circlejerk with? Somewhere to belong and feel like less of a failure?

What is the fucking point of being a Vtweeter?

A need for self-validation and aggrandizement without the skill or charisma to legitimately gain either.

It's actually kind of similar to the thought process that some fans have. . . the one's that make the VTuber their profile picture, only post regarding that VTuber, and spam their praise and love constantly. . . you know: Lyger. But this gets coupled with a need for aggrandizement and ego-boosts, therefore they join the TBA community and circle-jerk themselves in that way. They get a community to validate them, and a fanbase to make them feel less inferior to actual creators. While the former wants to be a leader in the church, this breed wants to be God.

Fuck, I know actual megalomaniacs better than this, because they at least produce something.

Why does this one's name look familiar...

That's a lot of word salad just to say "I feel being called out"
agility_ beat me to it, but laughing my ass off at an 'Anti-work Anarchist'. Like why the fuck aren't you living in a cave, Reikan?
According to social blade, shes at 128k on that channel but a majority came from 2020 where she was under 1,000 until march of 2020. She got a lucky break joining Hololive
Without a doubt she got a big break there, but let's not pretend that one of the reasons she was picked wasn't because she had a huge ass library of content to show off. Even if no one was looking at it until recently.

I've noticed that people who speak Romance languages have a far easier time with JP pronunciation than others.
Probably because of pronunciation and stuff.
Oi oi oi you have permits to steal that lad?

It's gacha shit shilling time for Gura...

Al least we get a karaoke stream out of it.
Hey, Senz finally got sbonsored by Crunchy Roll!

We should really call tba announced vtubers what they really are, leeching vtweeters.
Callie is completely right about getting off your ass and actually doing something with your content instead of bitching and changing the definition of what it means to be a vtuber.

Yeah, being an indie vtuber is hard, but its not like you need a high quality png, or an expensive rig to get started. You can even go back to the old style of vtubing and do short videos if you really want to. These vtweeters just want their asses kissed for attempting to be a vtuber without actually putting the hard work of streaming, making your own content, or putting in any kind of effort at all.

Honestly I find the song rather inspiring and it makes me want to vtubing whenever possible. People can make it. If the fucking troon shark can be considered as a vtuber who puts more effort than 98% of the community, it call into question what "quality vtubers" these people are bringing in.

On the topic of shit memes earlier here's a free template for lurkers with more skill than me. The subreddit will probably ban you for this.
Monochrome Yagoo worried about indieEN debut about to come and eat his lunch.
Full colour, sunshine, and rainbows, smilling yagoo as he watches how utterly incompetent they all are.

I mean, people act as if just being in Hololive (or in a company for that matter) equals free subs and free money
tiredofpretendingitsnot.jpg

Every single next gen has benefited from their predecessors work. Look at ID2 FFS, they all(?) had 100k subs pre-debut and Ollie reached 200k in 24hrs or so. Another example would be the clip of Botan talking how she feels that her early milestones weren't earned, which i think was recently posted in the thread.

Of course this also benefits others like vshoujo and the like. If hololive hadn't exploded in the way that they did nobody would give 2 shits about these other obnoxious retards.

I don't want to lose 50IQ by looking at this idiots twitter, so please tell me somebody replied with the Suisei history video, the one that goes into detail how hard she had to work for years in order to catch a break.

Seeing all these posting of smaller Vtubers that are actually trying with whatever set-ups they may have is one of the reasons why I liked this thread.

Normally, people working in any business would want to get inspired by the ones that are more successful and try to help people be on the top with them (like Calliope from what I get from her song, and the Undertaker in professional wrestling). But, these twitter bitches just do what we always knew they would do. Bitch, moan, ask for validation. All about them, and with no care about the medium that they are trying to use. Grow and influence the business so that the creators of tomorrow can elevate it to new height? lol what?

I am not saying that anything is easy, but I have never seen someone succeed without some amount of effort, no matter how talented. Things are hard I get it, but put some fight on, god damn!

This won’t get you banned in the subreddit; the post would be removed and deleted for not following the rule of making posts that pertains to hololive and it’s talents. That said that I’m pretty sure r/virtualyoutubers would enjoy it since they’re tired with tbd vtweeters.
