Well, Gramsci is better than Marx I suppose. Look, if you want to sell political ideology as a VTuber, go right the fuck ahead. But do not sit there and belittle the content and creation of others. You provide what you can, and the audience determines the support. Entertainment is the singularly most capitalistic market humanity has ever seen, and these idiots think they can sell it's opposite. It is as simple as that.

These TBAs are just Twitter voices looking for an outlet or channel, and are having a hard time understanding why a market dominated by those who look for actual entertainment are turned off from their BS.

I just decided to watch that. Her point is basically that all of this shit can be done on a budget if you have a good enough personality, and Calli has definitely grown into the streaming thing. Someone who's been around since the Dice days can probably verify but she really was not that good of a streamer early on and has certainly learned a lot from talking to people like Ame and Gura, probably. Those two are the veteran ICCs of the EN crew, and Kiara is a natural entertainer. Nothing is done in a vacuum, everyone needs help, but you still gotta make something for yourself. I've made a ton of friends in the indie community (who are actually fucking vtubers) and I'm still learning a lot from what they do in order to improve my own stuff and in general just getting to know this industry better. It's hard fucking work but don't tell these idiots that.

Anyone here familiar with Morinaka Kazaki who can fill me in on whatever her mythos is?

I know she has the teenager version and the child version, but is there some backstory or reason? Is there even a way to know which half will be streaming? I just find her strange, but her singing voice is nice, so I want to understand before I start following her.

I'm pretty sure there's no actual lore to it, she just can transform whenever she wants, for what half streams I guess it's pretty much her choosing what costume to use

My headcanon is that she's loli Captain Marvel.

Also revising my opinion of the Dumpling VTuber I posted earlier. She's deleted the OG tweets, and steering in the right direction.

How can people break through to another level? Content.

And as Calli showed today it doesnt even need to be a moving character, or you can do a paint one like that japanese girl has.

Just do something, it isn't that hard to do, the hardest part is to be entertaining.

Also I'd imagine having a 10 years old character selling lover voice pack might bring up unnecessary trouble. It did lead to some hilarious conversation with akina when he told her he bought it though.

IMO Calli and Kiara today cardboard streaming on WiFi with a shitty laptop is just another double down on Calli’s message. I think there will be a lot of carboard streaming for this Takamori week since they are on laptop and hotel WiFi.

Yeah, that was the other clip of her I saw and she seemed pretty fun from it.
