Part of me wonders if Off With Their Heads also serves as a response to Cursed Night and the mindset she had during it.
Cursed Night was at least partially a self-reflection on Calli's sudden breakout success, acknowledging at least part of it indeed because she was brought on to Cover, but wondering how much of her own success was "earned" because of that Cover breakout.
Then she opens the hook of Off With Their Heads with "Welcome to the Mountaintop, waiting til the fight calls", and the line of "This hell is hotter than when I started." realizing she's still playing the same game as before, and it doesn't matter that part of her success came as a response of finally getting "noticed", the fact is she did get noticed, and she's not being slept on anymore.
She spent all that time and energy getting to her throne, and now she has it, Cursed Night was wondering if getting to her spot was worth it, and Off With Their Heads was realizing that her own journey isn't over, because now that the throne is hers, she can find the worth in having it by defending it.
