Yeah razor doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about cause Burzum was directly responsible for bands like Windir who mixed traditional elements with synth and black metal. Also arguable that the direction varg took with Burzum is responsible for stuff like Sigh's forays into more avantgarde stuff.

I'd enjoy them if he did them regularly and if they weren't made by Razorfist. Seriously he has no excuse to spend as long as he does making the metal mythos videos. It's not as if the information in them is hard to come by.

The korean girls separate him from all of the autists currently making videos on metal on youtube. They tend to play a bit too much into being le ultra metnal cool man.
Lets ignore that every band in the 80s dabbled with or heavily used synths as it was a cool new thing which sounds cool which Razor praises in his Death Wish reviews.
I did like a lot of this stuff as a kid, although most of it is unlistenable to me now even for nostalgia purposes. Flux has a few songs that hold up for me, but artists like this are invariably the least interesting part of their own music. I quite like EDM vocalists but they’re usually drowned out or playing second fiddle to generic production.

I actually agree with these guys metal and the groups that form around it are pretty gay and I instantly knew what these guys were talking about when they complained about the nature of modern metalheads. So you can hand wave away with "not really" all you want but this isn't an isolated incident.
