It's a /tv/ meme from a joke in an old Simpsons episode that's basically supplanted baneposting.

It's because they don't play RPGs, they watch 'popular' films and play games like Metal Gear Solid or Death Stranding and think that kind of writing works in an RPGs. They also can't keep their opinions out of their writing and when I say that, they don't write something and let the reader formulate their own opinion on what happened, they have a firm righteous opinion that NCR is bad and needs to be revolted and that the Enclave are evil... which they can absolutely believe, but the ways the Enclave and NCR got there are by believable events that make sense in their respective settings and whether you agree with how they handled those events or not is up to you. But the writers of a typical story in this day and age will portray the events and have characters embody the authors personal opinions and everything that can go wrong will go wrong for the 'bad guys' because the writer wills it. It's hard to put into words, but you can tell when an authors personal view points start leaking through.

It's basically SJW writing at its finest. Not only is it self-sabotaging, but also contrarian and only spoken from one point of view. As bad as the NCR is, they were attempting to create an honest-to-God democracy in an irradiated hellhole where it's more efficient to have a king or an emperor the same way the Legion does for the sake of stability. But just because the NCR wanted Blackthorn and his men to help reinforce their forces in Hoover Dam against the Legion, they're evil warmongers? The NCR needs the dam because it helps bring power to their lands, and they need to protect it from the Legion because the Legion wants to take it and push on to the west, towards California.

And of course, Blackthorn gets his men out of the war in the Mojave, only to get his men tangled in another war in the North, against the same enemy, no less. Instead of fighting the Legion in Hoover Dam with support from the rest of the NCR, they're fighting the Legion in Portland WITHOUT support from the NCR. Which is stupid as hell, and if it wasn't for the authors arbitrarily giving the "Frontier NCR" a shit ton of tanks, vertibirds, and a SHIELD Helicarrier, they'd have gotten eradicated in a millisecond by the Legion forces.

But we know why they wrote that conflict in: the writers want to show that their NCR is better than the one in the base game because "they're not warmongers", and yet they still want to portray their "Frontier NCR" as fighting the good fight against the Legion and its institutionalized slavery, rape, and rampant imperialism. They want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to condemn the NCR for warmongering because it fights against the Legion, but they want their NCR Renegades to fight the Legion because the Legion are imperialist slavers.

They're also creeps IRL and sexually awkward IRL leading to them writing subtle hints to their own personal kinks so they can get a boner while at the same time making their personal kink moments seem perfectly sensible (but usually people feel the opposite). Having someone outwardly licking someone's feet is egregious and people will look at the author like he's a freak, but let's say characters are constantly barefoot all the time for no reason and one girl even makes a comment about how bad her feet smells. Subtle, but really fucking creepy, but to the author that's totally plausible and fine and at the same time he's jerking off.

Many teenagers write fanfics of their favorite anime, cartoon, and video game women (or men!) getting tied up and plowed. The thing is, by the time they grow up and become adults, they outgrow such fetishes and become more mature. If they still write stuff like that, it's usually to entertain a certain type of audience, and at least, the people who usually do write or draw stuff like that as adults are honest that they do it for the sake of cheesecake, and that honesty is at the very least, endearing.

But for the writers of Fallout: Frontier to put such vulgar filth in, and then turn around and say that it's "lore friendly" and that it's part of a mature story, is just complete bullshit. At least the fetish artists in Deviantart and other sites are honest about the fact that they do cheesecake for cheesecake's sake, and they don't talk down to fans who want things by saying that they're "Trump supporters" who want a "fascist power fantasy". There's no shortage of sex mods and dungeon mods made for people who play Skyrim and Fallout and who want their characters to bump uglies or get sexually tortured, but at least those people are honest about it and don't pretend that their sex fantasies are a part of something greater.

Of course, they try to offset this by condemning hot anime and video game women, but the matter of the fact is, they won't get back the men they lost to animated or digital girlfriends until they start acting feminine again. Of course, men would prefer the real thing over the digital or animated version, but as long as feminine women are in short supply, some men will continue to use alternatives.

When it comes to male feminists, a pattern seems to emerge. People like Harvey Weinstein aren't one-off cases. He's the standard leftist male with lots of power, who got caught with his hand in the cookiee jar. And it seems that the people behind this mod have similar........desires. The same people who call Enclave fans "Trump supporters" who want a "fascist power fantasy" are the same people who have fantasies of mentally breaking and enslaving underage girls with a side of stinky feet fetish, the same kind who have underage girls draw porn and want to go out there and get fucked, the same kind who encourage players to engage in bestiality. That tells us a lot about these people. And to think New California was able to add an Enclave faction and were even able to link it to the plotline of New Vegas and Fallout 3.

"Respecting Wahmen" just to get laid goes to show how shallow their respect for women really is. Does that mean they wouldn't respect women if those women were sexually undesirable? Would they still be beta orbiters if the women in question looked ugly?

Zu was the sacrifice offered to the gods so that the devs can clear their conscience, at least in the public eye. Unfortunately, it didn't work, not the least because Zu wasn't responsible for the sick sexual content in the mod, he mostly made pip-boy art, not the gross sexual content available in the Day-1 version of the mod.

Moral of the story: don't pontificate and act like you're better than everyone if you're going to project your sick fetishes into the public consciousness. At least most hentai artists are honest about loving big anime tits.

That's actually quite true. And really they should have known what to gate behind Wild Wasteland. Like with the Horny Deathclaw. Normally you should just encounter a very tough Deathclaw boss who does bonus damage to limbs and drops a unique Deathclaw Gauntlet when killed. With Wild Wasteland it's the Horny Deathclaw that cripples limbs who also drops a unique Deathclaw Gauntlet if killed.

Then you get the advantage of having it more replayable depending on whether or not you take the Wild Wasteland trait.
Hell, have another trait entirely that you can choose at the start of the mod called Preposterous Portland that unlocks the most insane elements that even Wild Wasteland shouldn't normally cover. That adds even more playability.

And for added fun, Preposterous Portland is the Angry Vault Boy gritting his teeth at the lore unfriendliness of the references

I don't know what the coded limit is on the rate of fire, but you're going to go through those five rounds in well under a second, and the shogun reloading is, well, shotgun reloading. It's an absolute nuke against a single lightly armored target, but heavy armor is going to shut it down hard.

IIRC, it's something along the lines of a 15 damage x 4 pellets per shot. So at 60 damage per shell, that amounts to, oh, somewhere in the neighborhood of 33 rounds per second, which coincidentally comes out to just about 2000 RPM, nothing major.

More realistically, you're going to dump about 300 damage in half a second with a 3 or 4-second reload.

Maybe it was a side effect of my mods, but the magnum rifle takes up WAY too much of the screen for my tastes. On the other hand, the revolvers are pretty good. They have a nice .44 magnum that I used pretty consistently, while Rancor has a unique variant of the 12.7mm revolver.
