There are usually several continuances and other delays before a trial. If Ralph actually plans on taking it to trial, there a very good chance it doesn’t commence tomorrow.
I'd bet on a continuance. Unless he's actually pleading out. He does not want this to go to trial, in a speedy manner or otherwise. Unless he's so high on his own supply he actually thinks he'll win.
I mean afawk there is no real evidence of grooming, not talking to your family isn’t illegal (even if you’re manipulated into it, barring criminal confinement of course) , and all drugs and alcohol were ostensibly taken with consent. There’s no proof they even had dope, and afawk Faith was never filmed drinking publically. The assault is, yet again, “he said/she said” and it may even hurt them to bring it up. If they go on about his abused and judge and jury don’t believe faith was hurt then there goes her credibility. There’s very little that they can charge Ralph with and whatever they charge they have to 1. Prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, and 2. Ensure that the crime is serious enough to be prosecuted during a “pandemic” using tax payer $. Basically it’s “he said/she said” and they’re both unreliable narrators with vested interests so any attempt to prosecute that would be a crap shoot with worse than average odds.
Yeah, Fai fai's credibility is going to be central to the proceedings, but Ethan Oliver Ralph's felony assault and probation violating record is not entirely above reproach and it is a he said/she said situation. He is, as always and in any situation, his own worst enemy
