Hello all, I thought I'd bring some fresh munch over courtesy of u/Coach-Genghis

your.bendy.egirl/ Sydney Saylor/ Rowen is your average Disney obsessed, shamelessly drug seeking, trifecta claiming munchie who likes to parade herself over Instagram half naked for oppression points.
View attachment 1882234

TL;DR
  • Claims she was formerly a child actress, who was in dozens of national commercials for McDonalds, Apple, Capital One, Sears and Nissan. (Though she's never been able to prove this is true
  • She posts a letter from a outpatient geneticists clinic in 2016 diagnosing her with hEDS although she freely admits she wasn't in any pain.
  • Her instagram starts off in 2017 as a standard "Basic White Girl" account and quickly devolves into attention seeking hospital posts.
  • Oct 2019: Sydney's mum finds her NSFW photos meant for her "bae", and claims that her mum put a "VPN lock" on her phone causing it to lock her out after an hour of use (among other things).
  • Also in Oct 2019 After getting into a fight with her mum about needing saline infusions, she ends up on psych hold after a suicide attempt.
  • After being released from psych hold, her mum takes her to a faith healer, who miraculously cures her. She spends the next 6-7 months working minimum wage jobs and spending large chunks of time at Disneyland.
  • Nov 2019 as her symptoms re-appear she moves to New Mexico with her "bae", and becomes estranged/disowned by her family.
  • Her "remission dates" range between early fall 2019 - mid winter 2020 but change as she sees fit.
  • She states somewhere around Nov 2019 that she was nearly homeless when first arriving in New Mexico.
  • March 2020 is when your.bendy.egirl was officially born and she tells her followers "never let anyone tell you how you are". In that same month she purchases herself a pair of leg braces, foreseeing a future where they're necessary. This future is almost immediate, and these miracle braces allow her to walk 3 miles unassisted.
  • In April, she has been officially approved for Medicare and has been looking on eBay for a cheap wheelchair to use. She's stated that she has accepted that at age 21 she will never be able to work again, and begins referring to herself as a sick cripple.
  • During this month she starts her journey to being a sexy disabled person, and leans more heavily into her POTs symptoms and claims eating is too painful.
  • After being denied Medicaid in May 2020, she somehow was able to get free healthcare (but doesn't elaborate as to how). This free healthcare allows her to pursue a Lyme Diagnosis, and see an orthopaedist.
  • In May she decides she has OCD, and has a moth-induced panic attack. Her pet fish died, and she's pissed people care more about sad animal stories than her.
  • June 2019 she diagnoses herself with Functional Neurological Disorder due to her off/on again paralysis. The doctors in the ER are very dismissive of this. A clearly non-prescribed neck brace appears during this time. She also claims a UTI lasting years, an E.coli count of over 20K, suggests that she has Turner's syndrome and a heart defect.
  • In July she both pays $800 for a used wheelchair she hates, and posts photos of all her banking apps being overdrawn. She starts begging for donations and providing links to venmo/cashapp,
  • She gets genetic testing officially done, which all come back negative (shocker)
  • August 2020, given that she has no fancy genetic disorders goes in on a diagnosis of a 1cm cystic lesion on her brain. She says it is calcifying her brain and putting pressure on her peripheral nerve, causing her paralysis.
  • By the end of August she's been in and out of hospital so frequently that she's labeled a drug seeker, and given a diagnosis of AMPS (amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome). She's now doing fetish pics for money as well.
  • Sept 2020, she now claims in addition to AMPS, she has fibromyalgia, and allodynia. Everything from a gust of wind to a stray hair causes her intense pain. She sees a pain management doc this month and she makes it clear that she wants the heavy stuff. “I want opioids. I don’t care about my organs, they’re fucked anyway because EDS is a thing.”
  • Somehow despite her intense sensitivity to pain, she manages to get her septum and nostril pierced.
  • In Oct 2020 after having been denied the good drugs, she suicide baits on Instagram saying that all patients with chronic illness should have easy access to opioids, and that MMJ is not an option for her. Of the replies on this post about 1/3 of them are automatic reply bots suggesting a collab.
  • December 2020 she gets her catheter named Peter that she wanted simply because she was "too frail to get to the bathroom". By her own admission this was not medically necessary. She proudly admits that she is embracing her tics (that were somehow never mentioned before) and was approved for saline cardiology infusions.
  • Janurary 2020: After 6 cruel pain doctors, 5 incompetent psychs, and 2 abusive PCPs, Sydney has finally succeeded in her quest for pain meds. Her profile is posted on the IF subreddit, and she claims that she is officially leaving social media.

Turner Syndrome??? Bless her webbed neck...ole girl picked a doozy of a fake diagnosis.

I follow this person on TikTok for the laughs. Please enjoy...

Because any sane person with real EDS would not be jumping on a trampoline.

I think Ali is my new favorite. Just because she has produced an enormous amount of content, more lies than I can even keep track of, and it's not little shit, it's kidnapping, stage 4 cancer 7 or 8 times, pregnancies of multiples, miscarriages, babies that died, rinse and repeat. She's like the energizer bunny, she just keeps going and going and going. And she is canadian white trash, diabetic reborn baby obsessed, rumored to be a sex offender, has 2 kids taken by CPS and currently claiming yet another pregnancy just weeks after a miracle remission from stage 4 cancer and a miscarriage like 6 weeks ago.

as of right now, poor Ali is terribly upset that people are still catching on to her lies, maybe her donations are drying up.
Here's a dump of her recent public social media freakouts, not including a suicide baiting tiktok.
I really need help digging up the past on this piece of shit so I can make a proper thread on her.

I’m brand new and a few months late lawl. But I would help out, I’m stuck in quarantine with nothing to do but feast on munchies to satisfy my degenerative cravings.

Here is a change of pace from EDS zebras from Florida. A Florida Man has wandered into one of the groups I am in on facebook and he has quickly become my favorite pet munchie. He claims to have an extremely rare disease that is fatal if untreated. He comes into this group regularly to tell people he had complications that would disable or kill him but it's okay, he treated it at home. Every doctor he sees is abusive and gaslights him. And while he is only periodically active, when ever he turns up you can find him telling his own tale of woe in the comments of every post.

Background: this group used to be the Vasculitis Foundation discussion group where people posted news about research, treatments, VF conference panels, and that sort of thing. It is now just a straight up support group. You can't really question people's stories per the rules, and a lot of people in there genuinely did have a rough time getting diagnosed with vasculitis and take stories of not being able to find appropriate care at face value, which is why I'm redacting names and personal info for them.

At the center of this train waiting to wreck, we meet our Florida Man, Samuel Knabel. Samuel joined the group on October 7 with this photo. These look like Campbell de Morgan spots/cherry hemangiomas, which are harmless and pretty much everyone gets them. Commenters reassure him he'll be fine.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 01.06.30.png

Sammy boy claims to have central nervous system vasculitis which can kill you absolutely dead. In vasculitis the problem is inflammation of the blood vessels which cuts off blood flow to the underlying tissue. I'm sure everyone can see why this would be a profoundly bad thing to happen in your brain. Symptoms include strokes, seizures, suddenly going blind, dementia, and death. Right away in the comments, we learn that Samuel has been accused of lying and faking symptoms.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 01.41.28.png

For reference, vasculitis rashes can be some body horror shit. Spoilered because it's not Kelly Ronahan ripping chunks of flesh off her legs, but it is still pretty gnarly.
339-tissue-vasculitis.jpgScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 01.45.47.pngother-v-rash-in-lcv-leukocytoclastic-vasculitis.jpg

Here we also learn that he's deathly allergic to steroids. And he can't take Plaquenil either. And he has DVT. Also he can only eat meat because otherwise he will die (ice cream is fine tho). Samuel is very rare indeed! So let's find out more about this fella and maybe we can determine why god hates him so very much.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 01.43.20.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 01.45.15.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 02.01.04.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 02.02.13.png

...holy shit. Okay. So Samuel is teaching himself how to be a pharmacist because he can't go to school because muh fibro. Well that just screams "drug addict" in several different languages. He is a pharmacist in god's eyes and his own. He's also clairvoyant. And his writing is superb. I thought from the "birth name" at the bottom that he was possibly an overseas adoption but nope.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 02.10.54.png

Samuel only has 50 friends on facebook, most of them family members living in the midwest. His mom Suzy is a pharma tech and nursing student. From her page we learn some interesting tidbits about Samuel. Like that he was born female. He does not appear to be on hormone replacement or to have had any surgery (or even binding) which I mention because I don't believe the transition itself is directly impacting his physical health in any way. He was extremely butch from a young age and has mentioned being attracted to women. So rather than the usual transtrenders we have the female counterpart to Blanchard's HSTS male. He's a twin and his name was originally Lindsay, which I think is still his legal name, and it appears he had a facebook under that name that has been deleted. He was born in Zion, Il and grew up in Marinette, Wi before moving to Punta Gorda, Fl October 2015 with his mom, sister Sydney, and younger brother Trevor. Parents also divorced around this time. I think he was in the ROTC. He apparently only had one job in his life, working for an animal shelter at age 18.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 02.33.35.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.12.49.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.15.08.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.15.33.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.21.26.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.02.02.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.22.39.png

So Sydney and Samuel are both high functioning autistic and didn't graduate high school until they were nearly 20. They don't appear to have any friends their own age and mostly interact with family on facebook.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 02.57.44.png

Sydney has ulcerative colitis. She was diagnosed in 2015 after an emergency hospitalization found fluid around her lungs and heart. Her case is severe and involves her entire colon, and throughout the next few years she struggles to control it with medication although she did not end up having an ileostomy or j-pouch surgery.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.28.59.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.30.11.png

These are included because Samuel's strange diet is going to come up a lot.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.29.50.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.30.42.png

So in 2015 they moved to Florida, which was a surprise to everyone including their own family.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.31.22.png

This is when Samuel starts his current facebook. Most of his posts are just food or banging on about animals or fictional characters he identifies with because tism/bullying, but occasionally he posts drug-related content, which we should just consider foreshadowing.

Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.09.03.png

Oh lawd. I thought this was sarcasm. Turns out it's autism.
Screen Shot 2021-02-03 at 01.11.29.png

Hooooo boy.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.12.04.png

In 2015, he starts talking about wanting to go to school to be a pharmacist, but being too sick for college. Don't worry, mom will teach him at home. It is what god wants.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.14.53.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.15.15.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.17.48.png

Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.21.07.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.21.33.png

The only "man-made food" he likes is basically everything.

In or around Feb 2016 Samuel was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and made this unintentionally hilarious post about drug seekers being meanie heads and how he was going to become a pharmacist so he can write a medical journal article about it and then start a petition to force people to be nice to him.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 03.34.05.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.29.09.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.29.28.png

That healthy diet of his is really doing wonders for his transition from autistic butch lesbian to autistic genderblob.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.35.42.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.36.40.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.38.39.png

Prescribed the biologic Enbrel.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.37.27.png

I don't think mom was too down with the genderblobbery, because she keeps using his old name and feminine pronouns.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.43.06.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.45.49.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.47.58.png

In 2018 Samuel starts this Quora account with an even funnier bio than the facebook one. Genius IQ! Very good medical knowledge! Now he's studying at home to be a pediatric neurosurgeon and wants to move to canada for some reason; does not realize that in order to be a skilled immigrant, one needs to actually have the skills already. It's not an IOU 1 skillset. He later decides he's actually going to move to Brazil. He's not very active but holy shit, it's hilarious. I don't really get how this website works so this might be normal, but all the questions are empty and he never responds to any of the answers he does get.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.52.24.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.56.54.png

Amazing. From exotic fruit taste? to a bunch of questions about medical conditions restricting his life to asking if he should surrender his cat because she peed in the house (cat sounds like she has a UTI)

Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.59.00.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.59.31.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.00.23.png

PTSD from daddy being mean. Claims the autism was just a misdiagnosis so mom could get benefits for them. Mom begs to differ.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.01.53.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.02.41.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.04.16.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.04.51.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.06.48.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.54.53.png

Interestingly, it seems that many many people in their close family are gravely ill with some truly shitty wouldn't-wish-it-on-my-enemies disease like Huntington's.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.46.45.png

But here's the real catalyst for Samuel's descent into batshit drug seeking munchiedom. In April of last year, Sydney's potassium suddenly crashed, she went into cardiac arrest, and she slipped into a coma. The next day they found out there would be no chance of recovery and a day after that they withdrew her life support.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 04.51.12.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.07.27.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.08.40.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.09.31.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.10.23.png

This brings us back to October when Samuel blunders into the vasculitis support group claiming to have CNS vasculitis. In a second post on the same day as the not-rash, he posts this longer explanation. I'm sure it will shock everyone to know he hasn't actually been diagnosed with this condition and his rheumatologist has told him he does not have it and is a fucking idiot. He claims he had his first stroke in July and he has had many strokes since then, none of which show up on any testing or like, have any real lasting effect.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.19.58.png

In the comments, we find that he is taking narcotic medication and has been for years, apparently starting when he just had a fibro diagnosis, and that his rheum does not believe his pain claims anymore and he is going to die soon. Trying to get someone to give him a PCA pump for dilaudid and is trying to get into palliative care and get that state weed. Has been to the ER a dozen times in three months where he has been told he's a waste of time and resources and also that he is dirty and lazy. Bear in mind that we don't know what was actually said. He could have just been told "the ER is for emergencies and you are not having one" or "exercising will help with your pain."
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.23.04.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.45.06.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.49.14.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 05.50.16.png

On someone else's post about bruising. God strokes are so embarrassing am i rite?
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 07.02.10.png

Tries to get into home palliative care. The company only does end-of-life care. Samuel tries to tell her that she's wrong because he googled "palliative care" and it said it's for anyone who needs it. Now he's mad that people who are dying of cancer get hospice care and he doesn't. Doctors keep saying he's faking for drugs or needs psychiatric help because of his sister's death (or both). Dramatically posting about going to heaven to be with his sister. And no, CNS vasculitis is not always a terminal condition.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.02.08.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.03.46.png

Not technically diagnosed but mom is in the medical field and knows by instinct that it's real! For the record there's a very good specialist two hours away, Dr. Yih Chang Lin at University of South Florida's rheumatology department, and he is endorsed by the vasculitis foundation. Every time Samuel claims there's no good doctors someone brings up Dr. Lin and Samuel alternately says he can't get a ride to Tampa, he doesn't want "curative medicine" only palliative, he's afraid of being gaslit again... (Spoiler: he has not moved to Hawaii nor has mom mentioned plans to do so)
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.08.15.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.11.07.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.30.09.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.31.21.png

This person was trying to tell him that CNSv is not necessarily a death sentence and her daughter is doing well with it, Samuel says YES IT IS A DEATH SENTENCE. Doctors won't even let him have anticonvulsants for his real seizures!
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.18.55.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.28.50.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.29.30.png

He sure does love his narcotics.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.58.43.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 06.59.17.png

Again, these are normal. Samuel often wakes up with stroke.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 07.01.11.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-02 at 07.02.10.png

Mean doctors wont biopsy his brain after he shows absolutely no sign of having anything wrong other than drug addiction and autism. I am pretty sure a stroke is easy to see on imaging, just from Dr. Google. This post was a selfie of an older gent getting his infusion while wearing an enamel pin of Dr. Anthony Fauci. Fauci was responsible for developing the first real treatment for Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (Wegener's Granulomatosis) which was considered a fatal disease before his research. Needless to say, Dr. Fauci is held in extremely high regard by people with this condition and links to buy pins, shirts, mugs, etc bearing the good doc's likeness circulate regularly. All comments on this post were people saying "a toast to St. Fauci!" and that type of thing, except Samuel's which was to tell this guy with a very severe disease that melts your fucking lungs that he's lucky because at least his doctors believe him.

And finally yesterday, announces that he has been taken off all his pain medications and will be using only weed because at least the weed doctors don't treat you like drug addicts. Whoops, fired by pain management huh? No, no one cures vasculitis with weed. It's actually known to induce new cases.
Screen Shot 2021-02-02 at 23.13.44.png

God damn, I can not wait to hear what this lunatic starts claiming now that his drugs are gone. My guess is that his next move is going to be claiming he failed on only MMJ and trying to use that to get a PCA for dilaudid along side it, also maybe gaining a fuck ton of weight and inducing some real health problems. Sometimes I want this dude to actually suffer, especially when he's using his fake strokes to get sympathy from people who almost fucking died I mostly just get giddy to see his new batshit insane ramblings. Just a fascinating study in what happens when low parental expectations, autism, serious illness close to the family, and tragedy combine with mind-melting stupidity and drug addiction.

(PS: 'pologies for how long I'm taking to post these, busy IRL w/ new job. I have a few that I wrote up and edited images for but haven't found time to sit down and upload yet. Also a million edits made to this because I'm drunk and fucked up the formatting)

View attachment 1891867

For reference, vasculitis rashes can be some body horror shit. Spoilered because it's not Kelly Ronahan ripping chunks of flesh off her legs, but it is still pretty gnarly.
View attachment 1891759View attachment 1891769View attachment 1891764
{/SPOILER]

Here we also learn that he's deathly allergic to steroids. And he can't take Plaquenil either. And he has DVT. Also he can only eat meat because otherwise he will die (ice cream is fine tho). Samuel is very rare indeed! So let's find out more about this fella and maybe we can determine why god hates him so very much.
View attachment 1891868View attachment 1891869View attachment 1891874View attachment 1891875

...holy shit.
View attachment 1891876

So Sydney and Samuel are both high functioning autistic and didn't graduate high school until they were nearly 20. They don't appear to have any friends their own age and mostly interact with family on facebook.
View attachment 1891893

Sydney has ulcerative colitis. She was diagnosed in 2015 after an emergency hospitalization found fluid around her lungs and heart. Her case is severe and involves her entire colon, and throughout the next few years she struggles to control it with medication although she did not end up having an ileostomy or j-pouch surgery.
View attachment 1891896View attachment 1891901

These are included because Samuel's strange diet is going to come up a lot.
View attachment 1891903View attachment 1891904

So in 2015 they moved to Florida, which was a surprise to everyone including their own family.
View attachment 1891905

This is when Samuel starts his current facebook. Most of his posts are just food or banging on about animals or fictional characters he identifies with because tism/bullying, but occasionally he posts drug-related content, which we should just consider foreshadowing.

View attachment 1892072View attachment 1892074

Interestingly, it seems that many many people in their close family are gravely ill with some truly shitty wouldn't-wish-it-on-my-enemies disease like Huntington's.
View attachment 1892063

But here's the real catalyst for Samuel's descent into batshit drug seeking munchiedom. In April of last year, Sydney's potassium suddenly crashed, she went into cardiac arrest, and she slipped into a coma. The next day they found out there would be no chance of recovery and a day after that they withdrew her life support.
View attachment 1892065View attachment 1892085View attachment 1892086View attachment 1892087View attachment 1892088

View attachment 1892093

On someone else's post about bruising. God I hate it when I have a stroke at the grocery store and people stare. Like gosh, haven't you ever seen a girl have a stroke before?
View attachment 1892149

Tries to get into home palliative care. The company only does end-of-life care. Samuel tries to tell her that she's wrong because he googled "palliative care" and it said it's for anyone who needs it. Now he's mad that people who are dying of cancer get hospice care and he doesn't. Doctors keep saying he's faking for drugs or needs psychiatric help because of his sister's death (or both). Dramatically posting about going to heaven to be with his sister. And no, CNS vasculitis is not always a terminal condition.
View attachment 1892137View attachment 1892138

View attachment 1892211

And finally yesterday, announces that he has been taken off all his pain medications and will be using only weed because at least the weed doctors don't treat you like drug addicts. Whoops, fired by pain management huh? No, no one cures vasculitis with weed. It's actually known to induce new cases.
View attachment 1892213

I have a few that I wrote up and edited images for but haven't found time to sit down and upload yet)
Bloody hell, that was an absolute rollercoaster of a post!

Bloody hell, that was an absolute rollercoaster of a post!
Yeah vasculitis got a bunch of attention recently because it's one of the fun parting gifts you can get from a covid infection. Almost overnight this quiet group of boomers posting about their rituxin infusions and kidney transplants turned into a den of 20 year old girls claiming to have diseases that are only seen in 80 year old men and that it’s a comorbidity of their EDS, which is why I've continued to watch it. Really funny to watch these girls scream that Giant Cell Arteritis doesn't just affect the elderly because they also know a lot of other zebras who have GCA and are the same age as them! I just kind of laugh and scroll by.

But holy shit this guy is amazing. I read like 5 of his posts after the NUTS DON'T GO IN THE FRIDGE convinced he was taking the piss out of these poor people before I realized nope, he's for fucking real.

View attachment 1891867

For reference, vasculitis rashes can be some body horror shit. Spoilered because it's not Kelly Ronahan ripping chunks of flesh off her legs, but it is still pretty gnarly.

Here we also learn that he's deathly allergic to steroids. And he can't take Plaquenil either. And he has DVT. Also he can only eat meat because otherwise he will die (ice cream is fine tho). Samuel is very rare indeed! So let's find out more about this fella and maybe we can determine why god hates him so very much.

...holy shit.
View attachment 1891876

Amazing. From exotic fruit taste? to a bunch of questions about medical conditions restricting his life to asking if he should surrender his cat because she peed in the house (cat sounds like she has a UTI)

View attachment 1892093

This person was trying to tell him that CNSv is not necessarily a death sentence and her daughter is doing well with it, Samuel says YES IT IS A DEATH SENTENCE. Doctors won't even let him have anticonvulsants for his real seizures!

Again, these are normal. Samuel often wakes up with stroke.
View attachment 1892148View attachment 1892149

Mean doctors wont biopsy his brain after he shows absolutely no sign of having anything wrong other than drug addiction and autism. I am pretty sure a stroke is easy to see on imaging, just from Dr. Google. Per comments, MRI and angiogram with contrast are the preferred methods for diagnosing CNSv, brain biopsy done very rarely and only when there is already clear evidence the disease is there and doctors are trying to determine how to proceed with treatment. Also his family thinks he's faking and a pussy.
View attachment 1892150View attachment 1892151View attachment 1892152

Same day. All the comments are people suggesting doctors endorsed by the vasculitis foundation. He ignores them and only responds to someone saying oh no u poor babby!
View attachment 1892153

These comments are on a post by an older woman whose husband has just elected to stop treatment and enter hospice care. Samuel repeatedly tries to derail the conversation to talk about himself or doesn't understand that other commenters are responding to the distressed woman, not him.

"The kidneys are getting rid of all the fluid." Cool, so they're working. Wonderful news. The NIH story is incorrect; that person has a stupid-rare variety that does not affect the CNS and he receives appropriate care for his condition now that he is diagnosed by the NIH.

Here is the post that got my attention initially. Nuts don't go in the fridge! Ugh strokes are so lame and now I'm having another one! I deadass thought he was trolling. Most commenters tell him that he has to go to the hospital. Others suggest that his bizarre post and refusal to seek medical care are proof he really does have CNSv and can't think clearly. The dad comment is in response to someone saying her dad dropped dead from a stroke and if this was a joke it was not funny.

Wow! I can kind of understand getting freaked out about waking up with a massive vasculitis rash because it looks so bad. I know someone who has it and when it first started he got so freaked out but figured out it it didn't happen if he didn't drink alcohol so stopped drinking.

Yeah it's more a symptom caused by many things than it is a single disease. There's about 9 billion types all affecting different parts of your body and having different symptoms. The one that gives me goddamned nightmares is polyarteritis nodosa. There are stories about someone going to bed early because they were a little pukey and had a headache and waking up in screaming pain because their flesh was rotting off and their organs were shutting down. This poor baby in Australia got it at 3 months old and had to have both his hands and part of his foot amputated after they turned black and gangrenous overnight.

Yeah Samuel needs some serious therapy, but I’m not even sure that would work. Munchies are crazy, but this one takes the cake. At least most of them try to come up with something plausible. This dude ain’t even trying and doesn’t seem to care that he makes absolutely no sense.

BTW, Dilaudid seekers are some of the most annoying fuckers on the planet. They come into the ER with some vague symptoms, screech and cry that they need Dilaudid, are sometimes violent, then check out AMA when they don’t get it...only to end up back in the ER hours later.

Unfortunately it wouldn't even surprise me if this one actually believes what they are saying
With the autism being this pronounced it's a possibility that they don't have the self-awareness to realize that they are interpreting (is it the wrong word?) completely harmless and normal stuff in a way as being symptoms of something really serious.
Because reading it through it really sounds like they are convinced of it and what with autistic people tending to have a hard time when it comes to physical awareness of their bodies and also their perception of pain and bodily functions is often quite different from how normal people experience it.

That they are a drug chaser does not exclude that they may believe that something is seriously wrong with them even though it should be obvious to them that it isn't.
Not to mistake them for being a hypochondriac as the mechanisms are not the same.

Sorry if something is weird or unclear, I'm belatedly off to bed before I fall asleep sitting up.

I keep going back and forth on this and almost didn't post for that reason. I preface this by saying I have very little experience with actual autism. On one hand, I am sure he's for real autistic and believes at least some of his shit. I also am sure that's why he doesn't ever realize how insensitive derailing some distressed person's post to talk about his own problems is. From what I could see, Mom coddled the fuck out of the twins, maybe overcompensation for the dad not being very understanding of their autism and the limitations it caused (if Samuel's stories about their dad are to be believed.) Not to start the ole' ABA debate but she seemed very much to think that her children were perfectly fine as they were and no attempts should be made to help them navigate a world full of people without autism. So I'm sure a good chunk of it is just not having any self-awareness (and not even believing his autism diagnosis, at that).

But I also just can't wrap my head around how he can reconcile his depiction of "ugh, had a stroke at the grocery store" with the people in the group who post about the grueling rehab they have to go through after a single event with medical treatment. Even if you only know about strokes from pop culture, I feel like you would understand that it is a very bad, very dangerous, brain-damage-for-life situation. Every time he posts about having another stroke, he gets dozens of comments telling him he needs to go to the ER before he dies and that he can't possibly be treating real strokes at home. Same with the weight. He's only posting close-cropped shots and his feet when he can claim he's swollen from kidney failure. He has to be able to see in the mirror that he's not emaciated. Right?

But then I thought... let's say he's lost a ton of muscle mass from not moving. So now he's deconditioned, weak, and the amount of fatty tissue over lean tissue is greatly increased. And he thinks he's in kidney failure. So maybe he's convinced himself that all the fatty tissue is just edema and whatever muscle he can feel under it is his actual size once the fluid goes down. I'm sure he's in some real pain whether it's an artifact of addiction and lifestyle or it's arthritis or what. And maybe what he thinks is a stroke is actually withdrawal or something like "brain zaps" that people get when they go cold turkey off Effexor and he has himself totally convinced that it's a for realsies stroke. And then I think of CWC and all the bizarre delusions he's had over the years, how easy it is for some troll to plant the seeds of absolute lunacy in his brain.

I dunno man.

Personally I would bet on them having delusions due to him being mentally distressed, and that mental distress can manifest as severe pain and other weird shit in your body and make you convinced that you really are suffering from something horrible.
Delusions are quite common for people with autism, that is, in combination with mental health issues that are out of control and untreated.
I do believe that he's in need of some serious therapy including grief counseling because he certainly shows cognitive dissonance.

Shit, I really should put down the phone and go back to bed.

Once again, sorry if I don't make sense due to drowsiness.

Bah, yeah sorry, I forgot to say that. Obviously they're still grieving and he's probably got some somatic shit going on from that. I can't even imagine that, watching my sister collapse, my mom trying to resuscitate her, finding out she was not going to be okay, and then having to reconcile that removing life support was the best thing to do. That's gonna fuck anyone up hard. I was just thinking about what could be specifically convincing him he has strokes all the time and is emaciated, but I guess grief + autism is the answer there too.

Aww dammit now I feel like an asshole.

Nah don't feel like an asshole, as we've seen they are definitely a drug seeker and even if this one might believe they have a serious illness they are still going about it in a very weird and hilarious way and I enjoyed it tremendously.
