Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I don't even know for fucking what, disagreeing? nothing cruz said (that I know of) was wrong or "fascist". that's not even derangement anymore.

I'm saying that the military and Biden's adminstration are in an alliance of convenience. Long-serving generals are too old to be in it for the ideological purity of Biden's "platform", they just want to keep their jobs. Their allegiance is to their paychecks and their pensions. Incidentally, going into expeditionary foreign quagmires is a great way to keep them relevant and "desired" by the state, and keeps them sat firmly behind their desks in the Pentagon. But if that top brass feels the witchhunts are starting to reach a bit too far past the grunts, of if they feel the lower-ranked, ideologically-motivated brass are setting up for a takeover of the hierarchy (replacing the top brass), their relationship with the administration is going to sour faster than you can say "court-martial".

Much like everything else, the next four years are going to be interesting to our armed forces.

I will give it to Cruz he seems to be doing good with dealing with the celebs that are coming after him recently.

This military stand-down is likely to result in EVERYONE having to sign a counseling statement. My guess is it will be some vague shit re-affirming allegiance to the government, and swearing not to participate in anything "unsavory". It will be vague enough that it will encompass anything which is later decided to be wrong-think. Q-anon, "conspiracy theories", whiteness, saying "gay"...ANYTHING. This will make it easier to take harsh non-judicial action (which doesn't require proof of any sort) against undesirables. It will create a culture of mistrust, fear, and denunciations. It will result in an unfocused purge.

The military is going to turn into Something Awful.

No, the insulin you get on the cheap from wal mart and others is a generic from the 50s. it sucks ass, requires extremely strict, planned a day in advanced eating schedules, and still produces terrible long term results.

The Good stuff that doesnt take upwards of 2 hours to do anything still runs several hundred a bottle before insurance.
