My friend said that Fauci was just saying what Trump and Co were telling him to say, and now that Trump's gone things are different.
I tried to explain that even if Fauci was just saying what his bosses told him to all year, he still can't be trusted because there's no way to know if maybe now he's doing the same thing but for a different boss.
My friend still believes in Dr Fauci. This makes me sad and frustrated.

A guy I know is due to get the second part of his vaccine in the next day or two. If he explodes or something I'll let you guys know.

I know of at LEAST 5 people (and their immediate family) who have contracted the virus in just the last couple of weeks. Now you can't tell me that after almost an entire year of this shit, that suddenly more people are catching it. Before this I only knew of 3 people. It doesn't match the current break down of numbers; statistically it doesn't make sense. I'm now 100% convinced some people get tested and it comes back positive even if they have the fucking common cold.

Germs are like glitter. If you pick up an item with Covid glitter all over it, then touch another item, the second item now has glitter. Even if you are an art student that LOVES glitter, everyone around you hates it and now you've handed them something with your glitter-covered hands. Oh, you were wearing gloves the entire time? Great, but the glitter-germs still stuck to everything.

As for Mr. Cleavon_MD on the twitter, I am now sending all of my bad thoughts in his direction. All of them. If I hope a thing doesn't happen to me, I'm going to hope it happens to him instead. Do not wish ill on Naples Florida unless you want all of my wrath, internet stranger!

Added: Sean Penn needs to eat a bag of dicks. HE hasn't given a single vaccination. So who is he to tell those actually accomplishing the mission how to do things?

I know at least 10 people that have gotten it. I've had a couple of aunts in Tennesee get it. My best friend (a big samoan I've mentioned elsewhere) and his family, but they are in South Dakota. Closer to home (IL), my other best friend had a couple of cousins, aunts, and uncles get it, and his girlfriend quit her job when like 7 people at her work got it, but I'm not counting them, as I said people I know. My aunts in TN had a rough go and were hospitalized for a short while, everyone else mentioned got the light cold with some temporary ageusia/anosmia strain. Random internet asshole anecdote, so take it as you will.

I know of a bunch of people who've contracted it, including co-workers, without respect to false positives. A great uncle of mine was in the hospital for several weeks during the pandemic but for unrelated reasons and never contracted it. I only know one person who died from it, but that doesn't mean much because the person in question was 1) morbidly obese, 2) asthmatic, 3) type 2 diabetic, 4) a heavy drinker, and 5) had major heart surgery less than a decade earlier. He was your classic deathfat.

I feel like any conversation of the accuracy or the false positive rates in these tests is immediately shut down and lumped in with the "conspiracy theories", even though people know that it's not 100% accurate.
