I'd recommend he never live stream on YouTube and he obviously listens to us! He would be flagged in to ban world within a week but likely return with monetisation disabled on his entire account. That would destroy his YouTube income which, despite what he lies about, is still a big chunk of his income. It's a terrible idea to put all his clowns in one basket.

I don't know why Phil is so resistant to streaming on YouTube. They have much more generous revenue sharing splits with ads and memberships and the split with superchats is comparable to the fee you have to pay to buy bits on Twitch. The archiving is done automatically (although I guess he wouldn't be able to beg in between recordings) so no more babysitting uploads for 3 hours everyday. The biggest advantage to Twitch is the emotes (Twitch has a lot of iconic global emotes and yt member emotes are small as fuck) and the much higher viewer base which helps promote discovery and organic growth. But Phil's business model does not revolve around organic growth, it's about a small group of whales and a larger group of ironic watchers and they will follow him to any platform. He barely uses any of the unique features Twitch has to offer. Hype trains actually ruin the stream as he sits there idly counting down every second and penne points are worthless. Even though YouTube has a much stricter DMCA system, he's already ruining gameplay streams by muting music so the archives are compliant. I just don't get it.

That's really what any sort of goal is happening. It always has to benefit him and he never gives back to the community because he thinks viewers love watching him wear a vest, eating pizza on camera and watching himself for the 50th time like its the greatest fuckin' thing ever.

Same if he ever gets a new chair or laptop. A greenscreen won't benefit him at all in the short term and he's incredibly lazy. He expects people to still entertain him and throw him money like a stripper and not him actually changin' for his audiences benefit.
