Is it me, or do most romanticized/fetishized abuse fics of any kind come off as either a product of an emotionally trouble person who went through crap, a vengeful incel/femcel, or both combined? It's kind of a red flag almost.

It's probably more due to the author being exposed to the internet from a young age and becoming desensitized to more questionable content, combined with copious amounts of teenage angst/edge and a dash of autism.

According to the reviews on that site (if people even care about those), only one person has a brain and pretty much says it is.

Someone likes the Legend of Korra a little too much.
Apparently Katara spends three years in the MHA universe? I don't watch the show or read the manga, so someone else that's familiar can confirm or deny that statement.
I got a little curious and downloaded the fic to see how many times the author brings up Katara's friends up to chapter 30.
Aang: Appears in chapter one, mentioned only once in the third chapter, and five times in the fourth chapter when Katara's angsting over being stuck in the MHA universe and never seeing anybody in TLA universe again. Aang's never mentioned ever again after this, despite it being evident that Katara loves him like in canon.
Sokka: Mentioned only twice, once in the first chapter and once in the fourth chapter.
Toph: Seven times, twice in chapters one and two, once in chapters four, once for a blind joke in chapter five, and once in chapter seven where Katara was reminded of the test dummies Toph used.
Suki: Same as Sokka.
Gran-Gran: Only once in chapter four.
Katara's dad: Three times, twice in chapter four and once in chapter six, when Katara's telling the others how her mother died.
Katara's mother: Twice, once in chapter six and chapter twenty-six.
Zuko: Mentioned the most times out of everyone in the fic and has a dream sequence about him, but it still isn't much and even then it's mostly to bring up how similar and different the other MHA characters are to Zuko.
I didn't really read it since I don't hate myself that much, so I'm willing to believe cartoonfan9 on the whole "the avatar universe was thrown on the back burner" part, especially in regards to Katara not focusing on getting back to her own world. She only attempts to find a way back home once in chapter four, but she just gives up after reading a book and learning that spirits are fictional in MHA's universe.

Another from the MHA fandom, because you can never be too on the nose that "men bad", "women good".
This entire "story" is basically one giant hugbox where the author projects how he was bullied, and that most of the support in his life has been from women. Pathetically enough, it has over 5-6k followers, much of them likely bully victims clinging to this for "therapy".
Oh, and it's also trying to not be harem, which is cute all things considered. And, I emphasized "trying" because the author keeps teasing his readers and doing a poor job of not wanting Izuku to get all the bitches.
From the very first chapter, you can already tell that this is gonna be a trainwreck with a poorly done jab at American school shooters, despite the fact that; in a world of superpowers, I highly doubt that the US still has a surplus of firearms in stock or that they'd be that much of a problem.

With these kind of fics though, is it a good thing if the writer says how the characters will die in the description, so you don't have to read the story? Or is it bad because it spoils the story, making it pointless to read it, and seeing the description is just as sickening?

One day at school out of sheer boredom and curiosity, I decided to see if any Limp Bizkit fanfics existed and, well...
Yep, that's Fred Durst x Wes Borland. God truly has failed us.
The plot is that Wes is leaving the band, which Fred can't take because he is madly in love with him. Fred gets rejected by him, then goes apeshit and starts cutting himself. Durst loses so much blood that he has to go to a hospital, where he is reunited with Wes and they start going out. Fred Durst then gets caught cheating on Wes Borland with John Otto, another member of Limp Bizkit, then John and Wes end up getting into a fight with each other where Wes SNAPS JOHN'S FUCKING NECK. I wish I had enough of a hubris to make this shit up.

Nothing is a more powerful combination than the Gary Stu Self-Insert fanfiction that breaks lore and is secretly just a wish-fulfillment story for the author.
I found this fanfiction as a friend of mine sent it to me because we both love laughing at cringeworthy fanfiction as we both used to be members on a forum that exclusively mocked fanfiction, and it was the dumbest shit I recently read.
This is an attack on titan fanfiction that does flimsy excuses to give theauthor main character who is definitely not the author powers that are cooler than the MC with a cool original titan design which is just the Armored Titan design but blue, and this is the plot
The story is a retarded shit fest where the main character unnaturally knows everything about everyone so he can become instant besties with them all so they know how cool and nice he is, has powers that wouldn't make sense for him to have just for the sake of being a "bad ass", and knows important plot details via asspulls. The worst part is some of these details rely on things that are the weakest part of writing from the source material so it's even worse when some dumb autist adapts it for his self insert fanfiction. There are a lot of continuity errors where he had a different fusion of powers at the start but it changed later to make them "less OP" along with the excuse of having the power to see the future despite the fact the power in question wouldn't be possible for them to have just as an excuse to save everyone later, mainly their waifu who died in canon. The character has a melodramatic backstory where the parents are gunned down by the government for reasons, is somehow given special powers from that same government which is the equivalent of Nazi Germany and would make sure the people with powers are given a loyalty test which this character never shows. Clearly they'd give special powers to someone whose parents had been killed by the government, that is clearly a loyal person.
Overall it's a rushed mess and basic wish-fulfillment bullshit of trying so hard to be cool when the author is probably some boring guy who gets bullied. It's clearly obvious because there are two scenes in the story where the author beats up bullies who bully a more vulnerable character just to look cool. Because we all know the best way to establish a friendship is save someone from bullies (I honestly hate that trope).

Yes and the worst part is that it came out in 2020 and is still ongoing to this day. You’d expect this sort of thing to come out in many years earlier with how it uses those classic Mary Sue cliches
