It is an embarrassment. I am sorry to tell my mom, who hates Trump, that this is absolute, utter bullshit, a complete waste of time.
There was a very, very slim chance that if they had just picked one charge for the articles, that they may have gotten the number. Even if that failed, dems could still use it as a cudgel against the GOP amongst disaffected repubs and independents while not losing much of their base.

Trying to stuff these various charges through, and shooting for the moon with them, means that it's complete political theater. Trump could defend himself by farting on the desk as his only statement and he'd still sail through. The dems decided to go for the safer, easier approach of 'just throw red meat at your base,' and so they've taken a paper tiger stance in the hopes of securing reelection rather than even attempting to actually succeed in this task.
So uhh, whos paying for this boring political waste of time?
The Biden Administration, basically. It's slowing down a lot of his appointments and hoovering up time for his policy proposals to get discussion on the senate floor in the form of various bills and amendments. However, this farce isn't really expected to last very long.
Is the Chief Justice still not presiding over this? Isn't the a giant screeching flashing sign that this isn't a Constitutional impeachment proceeding?
Is he telecommuting, and just not there in person? If he's telecommuting, it's probably good enough. If he's not involved at all, then it's indeed unconstitutional and someone from the GOP is asleep at the wheel, because it's in plain text. The only possible weasel-wording I could see is that this only applies when the president is "tried," which could be taken to mean "only when the president himself is being questioned." That would be a comically retarded take, however, relying on one of the least-prominent interpretations of "tried." The original vote on whether to proceed with the hearing didn't need him involved.

Roberts is not involved at all.

Half of Trump's defense was pitiful (the jewish lawyer was good), and all the emotional manipulation about your wife's LGBTQ tranny son scared to visit the capitol and AOC hiding in another building, all of that, just to flip one republican who is now either DOA or just won't run for reelection. Louisiana won't stand for Bill Cassidy's attempt at better cheese pizza.

Also press X on Trump screaming, when has he ever screamed? Sources say you're a fag, CNN.

Oh, Leahy's trying to say that since Trump isn't sitting president, it's cool-cool. That's pretty bullshit and not going to fly.

If Roberts actually recused himself, rather than just being told by Leahy to stuff it, then Roberts deserves a seriously tarnished reputation for it.

Him, Jeff Tiedrich, Eugene Gu, and the Krassensteins. All the ex-reply trolls to Trump are pretty much no-lifers.
Is he a defiant dad because he defies his fatherly duties by spending all day on Twitter being an insufferable retard?
A little off topic, but this Brooklyn Dad faggot says all sorts of insanely retarded shit and gets funny quote retweets from comedians, like Joe Rogan's friends who make fun of him for being such a spastic. A few days ago Brooklyn Dad was sperging about about a SNL clip of a girl smashing a guitar, and he claimed it was promoting violence and privilege, so a bunch of musicians were ratio'ing him by saying "Shut the fuck up, Boomer" or spamming him with animated Gifs of Jimi Hendrix burning his guitar or Pete Townshend or Kurt Cobain smashing guitars and amps on stage.

That reputation is the one thing that he cares about almost as much as being invited to all the DC parties. Which one holds more sway to him?

He has no authority to force the senate to seat him if Leahy's making the argument that Trump is no longer president. So if he didn't recuse himself, but rather was barred from it, that's different. Sounds like the SCOTUS had no comment, so this looks like complete bullshit from the dems through and through.

Police born out of slave patrols...lol. This reads like pure cope over them being useful idiots.

Edit: What is with this Brooklyn Dad fag suddenly getting clout/his cold takes plastered all over A&H? He's not even verified. Does he have a thread here that I am unaware of?

I have never seen buyer's remorse to the level that most Biden voters have.
Not only is it buyers remorse, but they insist that they absolutely positively are not having it. They will still vote for this guy or his replacement 4 years down the line.

The modern African American is mentally and politically more of a slave than he was when he was in chains. When blacks were in chains, they knew they were slaves and tried to get off of it if they could. Here they are mentally stuck on the plantation and want to stay on it.
