I mean.... sort of, but you're overthinking it. The reason there is no coherent explanation for the use of 'folx' is because there isn't one. The reason that there isn't one is that it is simply one of a number of words that have become fashionable with SJW and in turn, essentially traps used to out heretics.It almost seems as if wokeists just want to disrupt language because they want to use power for power's sake. But this can't be, right? They're about social justice, right?
People who are on social media or work in academia or some government organizations or charity sectors or any other field where there's an expectation of 'woke' are constantly monitored by the SJW Police. This is so people who would otherwise be neutral and opt to say nothing about the issues of the day can be dragged in and thrown into one of two camps- for or against.
So if your vocabulary is not spot on: folx, trans-masculine, infinifat, BIPOC, etc etc, someone will call you out, and if you defend your choices or fail to apologize grovellingly enough- sorry, you're in the bad camp, and they'll cancel you / try to get you fired.

You can refuse to see a GP if they are a moron like that. Similarish issue, I knew someone who had struggled with alcoholism so he specifically asked to see one GP he knew who was teetotal.
Given covid loves the fatties I'm amazed that cunt is still allowed to be a gp and spout that nonsense unchecked. yeah you'd definitely refuse. I mean imagine going there as a white man in a suit and being like 'doc, I'm having pain in my knees when I play squash, what should I do'. You can ask to see a specific GP, but if you're not in the habit of going to the doctors, then you'll just be assigned whoever is available on the day. The average person is not going to realise until it's too late that they've made an appointment with Dr. Lardebeest

Ah yes, rape, that thing that can literally by definition only happen to you when someone else forces it on you against your will, is EXACTLY like being obese, a thing that can only happen and continue to happen (even if you were overfed as a child) when you do it to yourself.
I’m sure that, much like morbid obesity, changing your diet and getting more exercise would also make having been raped go away. Also whereas people who lose weight get celebrated before and after shots and #GlowUp hashtags and everyone congratulating them, no rape victim gets a glamourous and triumphant “before I dealt with my trauma/after I dealt with my trauma” side shots comparison. Trans people reading your tweet feel automatically excluded because something something they’re always being excluded therefore you’re doing it too, probably. They assume that because you didn’t specifically say, “folks...and I MEAN TRANS FOLKS AS WELL ARE INCLUDED IN THE WORD FOLKS,” that means they’re not included and you’re biased against them.
So you use the word “folx” to signal to trans people that you are also talking to them. (or insert some other marginalized group that auto-assumes you’re excluding them in your tweet despite you not saying anything of the sort). Basically, it’s not enough to use language that includes everyone. You must use language that includes everyone BUT ALSO makes a show of ESPECIALLY including trans or certain other people.
Like if I went to hear a TED talk and the speaker came out and said, “Good evening, everyone,” I would be mad because how do I know he really means ME in the “everyone” bit?
He should say, “good evening, Abracadeveryone,” so I know he’s specifically pointing out that I am part of everyone and am being addressed, despite words like “folks” and “everyone” already meaning “all, without exceptions.
