The overall problem is that he's at a point financially where some sort of financial black hole just has to exist. I'm fully on the Champions train and I still think there is something more sponging his money - I think it's probably Kat, but who can say. At this point, if it isn't Champions, he has to be blowing his brains on designer drugs or importing a European escort monthly for him and Kat. There's just no way he is in the state he is currently claiming to be in unless something is eating tens of thousands of dollars annually.
He could have had a major win over us this winter/spring if he didn't beg for taxes. We were calling that since the vest streak that the taxes were still going to prompt begging. If he hadn't, if he had budgeted and paid them, I'd be at a loss, honestly. Because it would mean that even if he is still drooling over his JPEGs, he would have at least managed his finances effectively to account for it. Sure, he'd be retarded not saving for retirement, and it's still an absolute waste in terms of a hobby, but we'd be faced with a Phil who worked with what he had and didn't beg (extra), and that would have been progress, and it would have rendered Champions moot in the sense that it is coexisting with his financial responsibilities. I'm not saying it would have resulted in any detractors backing down, but it would have at least showed that Phil can manage money to some extent.
Instead, we're begging for taxes and losing our mind almost a full year after Champions should have been relevant. It should have died in importance with the bankruptcy - he got it, it 'isn't him', so it no longer matters. For some reason, as the begging ramps up again, this has now become an issue, because it does answer the question of why it has again come to this quite cleanly.
He has said exactly this... and the judge was shocked by the level of trolling, allegedly. He presumably did have additional 'meetings' with Nancy; I doubt she hung up from the 341 and never spoke to him again. But, again, these meetings would have happened anyway (he seems to think the bankruptcy should have been handed to him right after his faulty paper work?), and if they happened because of the Champions allegations? Then, yes, Phil, I do believe that there was $40k in expenses that needed specific explanation, and you had to lie to make that happen. Otherwise, why would she have had to meet with you to talk about the allegations?
He has a slight problem in that the 'conspiracy theory' that is Champions now requires far fewer irrational leaps of logic than his explanations about how it isn't him.
