Most of HoloEN don't seem to have grown up or given much attention to Minecraft over the years. Ame who has noted she's not touched it in a long time, may just have the most experience with it.

Eventually yes. When HoloEN gens start increasing (which is beyond inevitable, considering EN success), the EN server will keep growing in both buildings and lore. They are in the same situation as HoloJP server was, what, 1.5 or 2 years ago?

I cannot wait to see the server a year from now when they have HoloEN gen1+2+3 fucking around in there. That's also the reason they are primarily playing on HoloEN with only rare visits to the JP server, they know more gens are coming.

Gura did a little as Senzawa, and she actually picked up on placing blocks as defense in the middle of combat even back then, which we saw when she was trying to fight blazes.

I mean most of the major structures that we consider impressive were openly submitted by fans on Twitter as templates. I know at least that the big Minecraft Mecha groupings -- everything from the original Pekodam to Botanx -- were all fan submissions. That's not to say I can't give them credit at all for building those things in the server, there's just that little thing in the back of my head that says I can't give them all the credit.

I'd say, of the JP crew, the members that actually impress me the most are Moona (pretty much any building she's been involved in), Flare (holy fuck her house and that she's using the Armor Stand tricks like no one else does), Choco (the outdoor spa at Akukin Office), and Botan (all her Ramen Shops).

And I'd put Gura and Ina right up there with them. Gura for her idea to make a glass aquarium floor, and Ina for her architecture in general.

So we have another shark vtuber. Also, he openly admits to being a man. The design diverges from the usual shark conventions to the point where the pink shark on the back reminds you what the theme is. Likely to avoid being too similar to the other sharks.

At the risk of restarting the doomposting counter, did twitter not freakout about Calli using the words shekels? I feel like that's something people who already have a bit of grudge against her would do.

I wanna know what it is about sharks in particular that draws a bunch of indies to them. Granted, that design in particular barely has any shark features aside from the pink shark on the back, might as well just say it's a school girl who likes sharks at that point.

If that really is a dude then I wanna know why his voice is so damn high pitched.

I sit through 8 hour streams of indies all the time but mostly as background noise while I'm cooking or working or something. People have pointed out they do the same for my content as well. It's honestly what most people who watch big streamers do, they're not 100% active members the entire time unless they're actually friends with the streamer.

Sharks are cool. Bear in mind the Internet was obsessed with Ikea blue shark plushes for a hot minute; even Gura wanted to amass a collection of blahajs but she would need to buy 20 of the things at this point.

As for that one guy, my money is either on naturally high pitched or possibly trans.

Same. I think the only thing that can really top them would be actually deep into Minecraft stuff, particularly redstone builds. I'm betting on Flare to learn all the intricate mechanics/builds if she has the time and dedication to learn about it. And probably Moona and Botan(the most gamer among them) as well.

I would do a standing ovation if any of the girls manages to replace their button minecart stations into hands free stations. That will truly be a first step into modern builds.(Obligatory upgrade the server to allow more complex redstone builds).

OTOH, I still have doubts when most of the girls struggle to understand the simple formulas of brewing potions and refuse to use anything other than fire res potions or water related potions. And how many of them even knows that you can eat gold carrots(one of best food which can be easily obtained from master farmers who sell them dirt cheap after the 1.14 update)?

Since she has the blueprints on how to assemble Shubagelion, pretty much. It must been posted on twitter under her hastag I think. Even Pekodam was posted on Twitter as well under her hastag and Pekora assembled it by the blueprints as well.

IIRC there's a post waaay back in this thread about shark's being exotic enough to be different but not different enough to be weird, and I'd basically agree with that.
With that guy's voice, I mean Kira used to hit a similar range so it's far from impossible. I'd find it hard to believe a girl would pretend to be a guy pretending to be a girl when just straight up being a girl is the easier path in this industry.
