Someone else posted videos a few pages ago showing his "best deejay" gameplay and it consisted of backing himself into a corner, Max Out, low kick, repeat. Literal online lag tactics as he likes to call others who do the same as him, except he does it OFFLINE.

To be fair to him, back in the day he was one of the best ST Deejays in the world. Keyword was. And yeah I know I'll have someone come at me with his shitty flowchart gameplay back in the day, but that's what worked back in the day. On schtreem he said that he is one of the best Deejay players in the world. Despite him barely if ever playing Deejay during his 2 hour Street Fighter sessions that he has once a week, he still thinks he's among the best Deejay players in ST even today lmao. He'd get peaced out by anyone on Fightcade in a Deejay mirror match easily.

There is nothing we can do to take away from Dave's grand 4th place finish at EVO that year. The difference is that other players continued to maintain a standard while Phil hasn't. Other players have had their shit pushed in at some point and learned something while he flails about "ahline tactics" being his downfall. You haven't played anyone in person in years Phil. If he had any backbone he would download fightcade and get humbled and actually learn something but this is the guy who does not learn. Owned two condos and refused to rent out the one he didn't use, had a BMW even though he practically has vehophobia and drives once a week at best. I am honestly amazed he has retained any sort of knowledge from his FGC days and even more impressed he could even learn something to be decent in some fighting games back in his "prime". He is as daft as a brush.

People speculating that he may get paid by twitch tomorrow since Monday is a holiday. Of course he's trying to hand wave it away, and give some bullshit reasons and excuses why it doesn't matter if they do. Just like that clip I posted earlier of him explaining why changing the date that his bills get paid doesnt matter, because it wont take effect until two months later (which is complete 100% horse shit, I used to work customer service in a call center, and its called a PTP, promise to pay, and it can be changed in the system within a day). His response word for word:

My take has always been that DSP goes out of his way to reply to Derich so he can save that fake 'good will' for later , for example, when people accuse him of only responding to people who give him money. "Thats's not true dood, i respond to Derich all the time!" DSP is always looking for ways to control the narrative when it comes to perception of him. Hardly anything he does is ever genuine, imo.
Also, he knows Derich is most likely not going to say anything too controversial, so he can read what he says without putting much thought/effort into responding. minimum effort, maximum payoff!

These people are just enablers at this point. The whales are morally bankrupt for participating in this farce. You can clearly see it from his emergency begging today - he has nothing to hide behind. There is no narrative that justifies this current situation. The condo? He used to pay that and his bills when he was making much less than he does now, and he still isn't paying the mortgage on it anymore. The taxes? He can't keep things straight on that, and it happens every year at this time. Bills? Aside from the taxes, they are pretty uniform monthly, how is there no budget in place. Kat? Her not being able to work more does not explain why she can't contribute in this week before he gets paid. Chargebacks? We're almost 4 months into Phil's 'changes' - they can't be happening regularly. Unforseen emergencies? Jasper jumping on him... that's not even up there with emergency expenses of yore. He can't even concoct a good lie. This is just straight up, "give me cash now or I'm implying I'll die."

He is just an addict. He can't function even when he has money. He can't budget, he can't save. He is immediately lamenting that he can't run to credit cards, but there is no justification for why he would need to after the year he has had, and he said that as though it is what he has done in the past - Phil, buddy, the narrative every year before this was that you were raising money to pay those bills. You just admitted you put them on credit cards. You scammed your audience.

He's just sloppy and desperate, wracked with the Scopely Shakes.

Also... interestingly, contrary to what Phil has said, his last actual emergency fundraiser was on February 28th, 2020. So even when he had his debt cleared, even when he had a massive influx of cash support, even when he had $6k in cheers, over 1000 subs for 4 months... Phil can only make it a year before he collapses and emergency begs. He's right about one thing. This is his future. It reasonably cannot be better than he just had it, and it was only enough to function for 365 days without crumbling.
